Gas is $0.05 higher everyday I go into work. No reason to let the opportunity to make more money get away. And I do occasionally kick it, which make him very happy!! Its the little things in life !!
So close! I was trying to get to 10,000 by Christmas so I could do a live cast on New years day (That was the thought in February). Now it looks like Next Christmas. The Trend has slowed down a little...lol. Thanks Roger, We will continue to grow... very slowly! LOL
Really beautiful looks like such a big area for camping. Great work on video, and the drone must be fun. I met a woman the other day when we were hiking, she had a go pro, looks like a fun thing to have. We have walking sticks that are just that sticks, we found and we use for hiking, good for balance and steep spots.
If you stick The right size screw on top you can set the GoPro on top of the stick and then use it as a mono pod to do video. It does a better job than most cell phones. I have had several wooden hiking sticks. Akela has no respect for them.
@@GoingNoWhereFast oh yea, I'm sure she loves taking them from you, I forgot about that! When we're out walking and kids see us they just eyeball our sticks, one little girl asked if she could have one, I told her, her daddy was up ahead, that I bet her dad would get her one! He didn't seem very interested.
That road reminds me of the way into Cattaloochee state park. Really cool use of the drone. I'd be afraid of flying it into a branch or something while I was driving. Gas here in GA is at $3.29 a gallon for regular. I hear it'll be going a lot higher this year just like everything else. SOBs aren't satisfied with making a reasonable profit. They have to make a killing. Oh, well. Nothing we can do about it except pay what they want or go without. Geez, I'm getting overly cynical. Never used to be like that.
Well, I know the gasoline companies are hurting. Their profits are only double this year. The CEO only makes $600 million. Poverty !! We need a government that will stop letting business rape consumers. ooow... I'm ranting... Never mind! Let's hang out in the forest !!
Of course one of the reasons gas is higher, is because we voted for legislatures in state and federal offices which voted for the us to export our oil and gas. My natural gas is up too, because it is liquefied as LNG Why would be sell our limited resources around the world. When its gone, well that's it.
Its a smitty built X20 gen 2, but the remote transmitter died and to fix it requires removing the bumper. I'm not real happy about that. Other wise it works great.
@jimmyd That badlands gets really good reviews. I've used mine twice to pull others out of struck situations. Other wise mine just pulls the 4runner up the hill at my house every few months just to keep it lubed and ready. What Bumper??
@@GoingNoWhereFast its a TSO bumper. It works really well, I used it when I was stuck going up a steep, muddy hill. ua-cam.com/video/iL3kj_oGJ34/v-deo.html
Neat views! Great drone footage! Ha! Good job Akela! I was looking through your video's trying to find the one where you may have mentioned having a 'meet-up'. Or did I dream it? I thought it was to be at the Steven Foster SP, but hey - I could have dreamed that. Anyways, I'm itching for a 'get away' and thought that might be a nice adventure. Keep on having fun! Aren't you retiring this summer?
Love this video. Would like to bring my scouts to that river water slide. We'll be up in Clayton, GA this summer at camp, how far from there is it? thanks
About 3 hours away. There is Sliding Rock Falls just south of Asheville, NC. That might be an hour away. But I think they charge $7 a head to slide down the falls and it get very very crowded by 10am
Another great video! Nice seeing the drone footage, just adds another layer to your video. What drone are you using? Also liked how you placed the camera and captured yourself hiking and chilling by that beautiful river.
The camera angles are because I carry the camera on a little tripod and that is where is reaches too...lol. The Drone is the Mavic 2, The Mavic 3 just came out with better obstacle avoidance. $2300. Not sure I'm ready for that yet, I already have lost 2 of the Mavic 2's @ $1300 each
@@GoingNoWhereFast yeah that must've been a hard pill to swallow losing that kinda money. I've been using the first Mavic Mini but looking to get one with active track. I think that would make life so much easier with obstacle avoidance. thanks for the info.
@@GetOverItOutdoors The Mini is a pretty sweet deal. Get your Part 107 License before you get anything bigger. I figure the few pennies I get from UA-cam will eventually pay for the drones....lol
@@GoingNoWhereFast HaHaHa, I have a ways to go before I start collecting those few pennies, hopefully by the end of the year. Yes, I will definitely be getting the license before the next purchase.
Wow. That was a gorgeous hike. The beautiful landing area at the bottom of the steep, green “path” was certainly great incentive for navigating it. Hopefully, it didn’t hurt (the climbing/descending part). So Akela is like GPS for water? Great video!
He and water have an agreement, he play in it, it keeps his head above in the air!! lol There were many nice places to get to the river and find awesome places. Thanks for the comment !
This is off route 181 just north of Morganton, North Carolina. But a lot of free campsites have been closed down by the forest service because of how they get trashed. So go cautiously.
That sounds like the people who are always warning me not to go into the woods alone or during hunting season because people are out there just waiting to shoot you. 10 years ago you could just look people up in the phone book.

Gas is 3.39 at the bottom of rt90 and 281 in Homer. Cheapest in the area. Apparently you aren't trainable, if you won't pick up the stick! 😀
