Totally speculative, but I also wonder if this could have been murder masked as negligence with far less jail time. His staff said he said he ran out of lidocaine and so he prepared a mixture in a bowl. My understanding is that it was only after he injected the lidocaine he prepared that she started having major issues. Obviously could just be negligence as he doesn’t appear to have any proper judgment. But just makes you wonder.

Apparently, there's a "Standard of Care" in Florida... with all the Pill Mills and legal drug dealing, I didn't think one even existed there. I thought Indiana was bad. (I was trained in Illinois to provide care. There is such a thing as a "Standard of Care" and the bar must be set pretty low in Florida and was clearly not met at all in this case!)

She engaged in practicing medical procedures to help her husband's business financially at the risk of safety to the patients. She also self medicated herself and put her body in his incompetent hands. If she had encouraged him to transact his business appropriately, chose a more appropriate profession, or left him for engaging in an immoral practice, she'd be alive today. She chose greed and vanity, so now her children, the real victims, are both motherless and fatherless.
