The one thing that always bothered me about Young Money is the fact that most of the artists especially Lil Twist have no albums under their belts. I bet if they were all household names, then Young Money would remain a powerhouse.
Quit lying. All of OVO artists have released projects. Just cause their not huge artists doesn't mean Drake is hurting their careers. Every artist is not meant to blow up big.

There are very few imprint hip-hop record labels that last longer than a decade. The best course of action is either signing to a major label like Atlantic or remaining independent.
If your on a label for 10+ years, with no album. I want to know what your required to still be doing at this point? Do you move on as a writer, producer or what?
A bunch of bad contracts and laziness…..Drake and Nicki went the most commercialist that’s why they were selling like hotcakes especially Drake he’s was constantly working. Everybody else on Young Money seemed to be lazy they wasn’t dropping a bunch of mixtapes nor getting features they could’ve easily ran the 2010’s after the “We Are Young Money” compilation album dropped. Tyga was slapping in the tape game at that period he even had both a platinum and a gold album on the label before he left to do his own thing with LastKings he just didn’t have that big push for those 2 albums all the focus was really on Drake then the fallout between Birdman and Weezy fucked everything up.
also some ppl just aren't meant to be stars. drake didn't get a whole bunch of label support after his first album. they gave him a budget & let him do him that's it. he didn't need shit from CM/YM he had his own guys from Canada he put the work in to build his brand. everybody can't do that
Also about Nicki. Im not dissin drake but he dropped consistently staying at the tippy top top, and strived to be the highest but Nicki took a different route. She secured her spot and went on to take the legacy path. She doesn't release as much. And to prove she did secure her legacy and status was her 2 year hiatus. She literally took 2 YEARS off music and still got people begging. I think this is because of her relationship with her fans.
So pretty much it was just temporary working with Wayne .....I would've left to if I didn't get my money ......I was asking myself that why happened to ymcmb because you don't hear nothing from them
I feel bad for corey, his verse outshines Wayne on his own track in 6 foot 7 foot. I also feel bad for Kevin rudolph(the guy who made let it rock). He had legitimate talent but was just the token rock guy in the crew cause Wayne wanted to be a rockstar at the time. So many artists had a promising future in cash money but were horribly managed. They could have been one of the greatest rap groups to do it but ego,bad decisions, keeping albums hostage and controlling artists creatively and otherwise ruined it.
Not even close to as big as young money not even close!!! Like not one bit!!! Migos were the only true superstars on there. Lil Baby is having a moment but he's still not on the level of what the Migos were at their peak. Young money had 4 superstars Wayne, Drake, Nicki and Tyga all actual stars!!
A lot of ppl fail to mention or realize that tyga actually had the west coast on lock during his run. Before drake and nicki blew past him he was doing his thing for a good little minute

Young Money as a group was the shit from spring 09 when the dropped “Every Girl” until the end of the Summer in 10.
It must been great and huge like different vibe at that time cuz I was a youngster
These kids today will never know how much of a power house YMCMB was. Wayne drake and nicki were superstars and Tyga was a star that could give you hits here and there and was a nice lyricist with his own sound. Only if birdman wasn’t shady and robbing his artists this power house would still be together and on top today.
I never heard of anybody after Tyga and never even know Chanel giddy laugh was on YM
Birdman happened to YM CM
he couldn't stop rubbing his hands an ultimately everything caught 🔥 from the friction
Facts 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
💯
Imagine caring what Chanel West Coast is doing in 2021
Once you realize that nothing lasts forever and not everything works out you'll stop questioning things like this. Gudda is Lil Wayne's friend since childhood and him being signed to the label is because he's in Waynes circle even if he doesn't drop anything.
This just proves many artists can run labels, its hard juggling being and artists and handling business for others
The one thing that always bothered me about Young Money is the fact that most of the artists especially Lil Twist have no albums under their belts. I bet if they were all household names, then Young Money would remain a powerhouse.
When YMCMB was poppin times were so simple
Now Drake is doing his artists like YM does their artists. He learned from the best.
Quit lying. All of OVO artists have released projects. Just cause their not huge artists doesn't mean Drake is hurting their careers. Every artist is not meant to blow up big.
@@rodneyscott5450 Do your research kid. I’m sorry I made you cry, but Drake is definitely not doing right by his artists.
@@thevinyltruffle Where is your fucking proof?? If you can't provide legitimate proof that he isn't doing right by his artists then you're just talking just to talk 😂.
@@rodneyscott5450 the info is out there. Artist interviews. But go ahead and be ignorant and keep crying because someone said something about Drake. Keep getting your little feeling hurt. Ignorance is bliss.
@@thevinyltruffle could’ve just dropped some links instead of saying reasearch it??
6:32 "... he still has zero studio albums to his name, even after 16 long years on the label." 😂😂😂😂
YM were nothing more than stepping stones for Wayne to cement him self as the GOAT. Was a great team.
what’s crazy is that were actually talented. that collab album was fire
Oh shiiii I’m excited for this one
Cash money and young money labels has stood the test of time. Back in 2009-2014 every artist had either a wayne, drake feature to blow.
Young money hasn't stood the test of time they aren't doing shit
Guess gudda most known for being on filnobep videos 😂😂😂
That's his come up 😂😂😂
Gudda most known for being part of the original young money aka sqad up 🤣🤣🤣

And the infamous line "and I got her nigga..... Grocery Bag"
There are very few imprint hip-hop record labels that last longer than a decade. The best course of action is either signing to a major label like Atlantic or remaining independent.
If your on a label for 10+ years, with no album. I want to know what your required to still be doing at this point? Do you move on as a writer, producer or what?
Wayne will always be topa top and respected!!
Remember that line “and I got her nigga, grocery bag”🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ha one of the first comments? Lovely 🔥🔥🔥
I APPRECIATE YOUR COMMENTARIES.. very nicely put together.. Peace
@@HB-ih9qp drake didn’t have a bunch of label support lol
If loyalty was a person, it would be Gudda Gudda
So pretty much it was just temporary working with Wayne .....I would've left to if I didn't get my money ......I was asking myself that why happened to ymcmb because you don't hear nothing from them
Great video man
I feel bad for corey, his verse outshines Wayne on his own track in 6 foot 7 foot.
Pattern repeats itself for both MMG and YM - if you want your vision to thrive, you can't get hooked to your label.
Cory Gunz was the one person I was excited for; I had been listening to him since his pre-Young Money days. Alas... earwax.
all i know is the lesser known young money artists go hard as fuck on the dedication mixtapes
Wayne announced a new Young Money album is coming this year and they put out pictures of people working on it
So that never happened
@@tapset guess not lmao maybe next year
Coach K and Quality Control is what really happened lmao
Not even close to as big as young money not even close!!! Like not one bit!!! Migos were the only true superstars on there. Lil Baby is having a moment but he's still not on the level of what the Migos were at their peak. Young money had 4 superstars Wayne, Drake, Nicki and Tyga all actual stars!!
Young money was the dopest label out there
You are bugging
You goofy asf
facts @Stan Music!! Only delusional haters would disagree!! 💯💯
FR its still one of the best
They had wayne nicki and drake so yea you’re right
A lot of ppl fail to mention or realize that tyga actually had the west coast on lock during his run. Before drake and nicki blew past him he was doing his thing for a good little minute
Guddaville was a classic, Dead Prez classic hate that Gudda and Mills just faded away
Hey, Hip-Hop Madness❗️ Just wanted to say I like this video and the other ones about these labels 👍.
Do you think you can do a video about RCA Records and how they do their artists?🧐 Thx🙌
Holy shit I've never been this early - 10 minutes ago!? Damn
ymcmb was my childhood fr
I been wondering what happened.
They grew up, drake, nick and Tyga got bigger, ppl got busy they moved on.
Young Money had a real legit moment. It was fun to be young at that time.
Quick answer: there was Young money, Cash money, and NO money for the artists, thats why.
Who remembers the light skin dude named Euro who was signed to YMCMB?
Because of baby, he ruined it for everyone
Awesome topics
Why does nobody know about the REAL original young money.. in 2003 it was gudda, t streets, Kidd Kidd, supa blanco, and young yo, that’s the first era.. second era is the curren$y, Mack Maine era from 05-06... THEN the drake nicki era... gudda ain’t no damn new comer he’s an og member since before even tha Carter 1
🗑
facts gudda definitely ain’t a newcomer
The Squad up days!
Since squad up days
Nutt was the coldest one not counting wayne
If ymcmb gave as much shine to Tyga as they did Drake and Nicki he would be just as big as them people forget how crazy Tyga was at a point
YMCMB was untouchable no lie 💯💯💯💯
For real!! YMCMB untouchable
This is a dope feature
I've always ride and been down with Young Money.. to this day frfr!!! Thank goodness they are no longer affiliated with Cash Money because Wayne wanna make sure his artists reach their full potential! I just hate the fact that Young Money was screwed out of millions and millions of dollars over royalties, profits, etc.. It ain't the end!! #YM
Damn right! It’s a dirty business I see from here! YMCMB FOREVA 💯✊🏼
Same, i hate how greed can really hurt the growth and success of a business, especially when it comes to music.
ik ya remember everyone wearing them ymcmb shirts/hoodies in middle school 😂🔥 had my middle school all in em
Where is gudda, t streets, short dawg, cory gunz, Paris Hilton 😂
Imagine paying for no commercials, only to have to listen to a shameless plug midway through...
Well. Drake is doing perfectly fine on his own. Also Euro got signed. Made one song and a mixtape plus an album. Nobody speaks about it. That’s crazy.
Euro has no album
I could have done it better.
I could have done it any other way.
He should done have done it better.
