- Hey guys! I want to invite you all to do a homeschool lesson with us! Today we will be doing a history lesson from Story of the World. We love SOTW! We are finishing up volume 2 right now and will be going onto volume 3 in January. Thanks for sharing your day in the life with early American history with it. It is nice to see how other homeschoolers incorporate history into their life.

We just started with Story of the World unit 1 this year
My personal favorite subject is History.. my oldest (3rd grader’s fav is science..) I ordered Story of the World but have yet to use it! I need to look through it again and just start! (My co-op Moms introduced me to it but I haven’t gone to co-op since March...) Anywho, thank you for sharing! 👏🏽💕
I loved watching this video, I'm about to homeschool my 1st and 3rd grader for the first time and am still deciding on a history curriculum. Can you tell me about how long it takes to go through each volume of SOTW?

Haha! We are using America’s Story 1 also this year because I’m teaching it at co-op but I gravitate to this so much more.
Do you have tips on training kids to stay focused on work while little siblings are running around? My oldest is the only one in structured school and it’s really difficult for him to focus. Today I put the two little ones in their room but I’d like them to be around us if possible to be exposed to what we are doing. Quiet time is always a suggestion but I need our quiet time for work.

Is the book you are referencing during the history lesson (at the very beginning of the lesson) one of the recommended encyclopedias?
