He's forgetting to tell you to not take these into the actual store where you purchased the shoes. You have to actually call nike and send the shoe in. (I work retail)
Its Nike claims I've been doing this since forever with soccer cleats you really just pay for one shoe and keep doing this for as long as you are able to pay shipping of 10$
I tried this with a bad air bubble. Mailed my joints in. Cost me $15. Got a response that they couldn't be replaced and that they were disposed of. Thanks Nike.
I bought a pair of Kobe X’s “10s” for $99 at finishline and when the zoom popped Nike gave me retail which was $180 💰. Buttt that was in 2016 so idono what the policy is now
Well well. No one is going to give you anything for free if it’s sounding good that it’s #NOT You may be right but you keep doing what you’re doing. My Brother ✌🏽
It works, but it's not that simple. Not all Nike shoes have a date on them, and the damage can't be just regular wear and tear from everyday use. I recently sent in my Metcon 7 because the sole was coming apart. You have to set up a claim with Nike, and they'll send you a claim number. Then, you'll need to mail the shoe to them at your own expense. Once they receive the shoe, they'll inspect it to determine if the damage is due to regular wear and tear or a factory issue. The whole process took about two months. In the end, they gave me a voucher for the cost of the shoes, but it can only be used online.
Yup had something like that done on some lebrons back in the day and my air bubble popped randomly, I was actually allowed to get another pair online just like u said
I been doing this for literally 20 years. It works they used to just send you new shoe’s comparable to what you have now they only do store credits. It was always threw the mail. You have to fill out the damage return online and it generates a voucher to put in with the shoe when you mail it. Then they will inspect and see if it passes their policy. They then will send you a voucher for the price of the shoes 👍🏾.
This only applies to manufacturer error. This does not apply to normal wear and tear. For example, if your midsole becomes delaminated from the upper you are covered. If you buy new air maxes and go walking through a thorn field, it will not be covered.
As a former employee, always keep the receipt in the shoebox. If you don’t have the receipt we have to run it through our manager and most times it’s unlikely you’ll get a refund but maybe store credit. You can do it online too, just a longer process.
I’ve been doing this, it to abuse the system but I remember a bubble on acg boots popped. The Nike store said pick anything of similar value or pay the difference. I really respect that
1 u dont do this in person 2 the value for those are their retail price at release. We used to do this in the mid 90s to early 2ks ,i once sent in 14s and got the 15 2weeks before release) .the good ole days.
You're reminding me of the Nextel/Samsung days when we could smash our phones then go get them replaced on the spot thanks to our $5 month insurance. And if they didn't have it in stock, they would give you a loaner phone for free while you waited for the new one to come in 😂
I’ve been doing this for 20 years. This is nothing new. We used to have to keep receipts when there was no QR code or date of manufacture on the tongue of the shoe.
NIKE will not do this in store, I repeat they will not do this in store 1) you have to be a Nike member (have one of the apps) 2) you have to do this online or “talk to an expert” on the app. Then you have to file a claim and ship it to Nike they will send a merchandise card to you and it will be well below what you paid. But no store will take them
Nike product guarantees and warranties require a dated receipt and original warranty cards to process the claim. Receipt must include valid date, name of store, name or style number of product and purchase price.
Lie the two year is for manufacturing flaws only . You would notice those as soon as you open the box. You call customer service and they are a third party that doesn’t know the policy so they will tell you to take it to the store or ship them back which you then will be told it’s past 60 days and there is no manufacturer flaw so we will not take them back. I would know from experience. (Former Nike manager)
Guys please note, this doesn’t work in the UK as there is no ‘file a complaint options’ in the UK Nike page. You can contact Nike but they probably won’t give you a replacement.
I did returned shoes that i have bought like 1 and 1/2 ago and they accepted them some stores will do gift cards to purchase shit but some of them will give your money back
