My ficus had hard water stains on its leaves too but for the longest time I couldn't figure out what it was. Thanks for the info. Wish the soil didn't have so many parts though I need something a little simpler since I am just getting started with my tree.
What's the tool used at 4:00 please? I have one that's packed into a bit of soil too so would really need one of those to expose the roots. Really useful video - Thanks!
I repotted my Trees completely wrong. Can i still do it over again ? Or should i let them do their thing. Also, i sprayed te leaves with some bonsai feeding liquid and now the leaves have sticky dots in them. Is it okay to remove them the same way of should i let the tree do its own natural thing ?
Hi - I just purchased the same ginseng plant and it needs repotting but as I live in Ireland which is a much different weather system could you give me some advice as to what time of the year it is best to repot the plant ? Thanks
@@kevinmitchell4960 I think keeping it in a greenhouse will help in your region specially during the winters. It’s a tropical tree so it loves water but yes overwatering can surely kill it.
Hello, just came across your video because I reported my tree as well since it had pretty much the same soil mix as you show in your video. I bought a bigger pot and dark dirt but I didn't clean the old soil mix so thouroughly, do you think this is going to be a problem? Should I take it out and clean it and then put it back in a new pot? Also, my idea was to give the root more space so the plant can grow, is that going to do the trick or is there another way to make it bigger? Thanks in advance!
We use copper since it doesn't rust. It also corrodes quite less. Its actually good because CU form part of the micronutrients that plants need. I will replace the wire with a new one when I repot it after a year.
Astounding ! There's a positivity ❤️
Thank you

Good job👍
Really digging the tunes 😩🔥
Im trying to use only cocopeat for soil. Is that ok?
That may not work very well for bonsais. However it can work for sone plants when enriched with fertilisers

Thanks. That’s a small rake. Very useful to untangle and loosen up roots.
@@TheUrbanNemophilist Thanks for letting me know - I'll try and find one :)
Sir, how to avoid hard water stains from not coming in future? Is there a way
If your water is hard don’t mist on leaves. Just water the soil. Misting and cleaning of leaves can be done with collected rain water or RO water.
Awesome bro ❤️❤️❤️...
God bless 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you

Let them do their thing for now. You can report them in the next growing season

Avoid winter. I think summer will be a good time for any repotting activities.
Beautiful
Thanks
What is the best season to repot ficus ginseng
Spring and monsoon
Also amazing video :)
Thanks
How often do you water these and how much ?
Every alternate days. Watering will depend on the location region and climate you live in.
@@TheUrbanNemophilist live in the UK so low humidity and its practically winter now.i know its very easy to over water these

Should be fine
where do you usually keep your ginseng ficus bonsai indoors in shade or outdoors in sun/shade? waiting for you reply...
This tree is in my balcony. It gets the morning sun and shade after noon. It’s doing quite well.
@@TheUrbanNemophilist in mid summer it gets really dry that's why i mist like 2 times a day and now i have to clean them up!
thank you a lot.
@@hayomiyazaki9881 yes that’s normal during high summer
After repotting, my plant shed all its leaves. Will it survive? Please give me a reply.
Ficus leaf shedding after a repot is normal. It should survive as long as are requirements of the plant is met.
Where can I get those soil components?
You can find the buying links of the components in the description section of this video

why are you repotting it? it isnt rootbound yet
Reason as mentioned in the description of the video
just got one of these at Ikea and after watching this video I have a feeling I repotted my tree the wrong way.
There’s always several ways to repot a tree. If you share more on how you did it, I might be able to help
Water the tree properly!!!
Yes all my bonsais are heavily watered in the watering tub after a repotting.
