Thank you so much. I didn't realise I would get so emotional when coming to collect the violin and you played it so Beautifully for us. My Dad used to make model Aeroplanes again a nod to my Dad that you use Aeroplane modelling wood to fix the violin 🎻. So Sad he's not here to see all your Hard work his father used to play the violin when I was a small girl and it belonged to my Dads (Dennis) Grandad so you have done a amazing job fixing it . My Grandaughter Sophie came round and I was showing here and told her I wanted to learn the Song A Thousand years she was practising it with me on a violin Andrew had bought me last year . Hopefully one Day I will be able to play it , but definitely not as good as you did . Once again Thank you, you put your whole Heart into fixing the Violin 🎻 up. It will be Treasured ❤
This video is very helpful as I am currently restoring an old broken violin I bought at a flee market. The label on the inside is very plain and says: Thomaso Eberle 1774. But an expert in ancient violins assured me that it was a cheap bohemian instrument from the 19th century. I bought it for 30 euro's and the expert said it was worth at least twice that amount, so I did a good deal 😃.
Wonderful to see another video from you, Maestro! What an interesting challenge to tackle. I'm happy to see how you solve this problem, even though it takes a while.
Wish you would play it one song at the end of every repair. Because it would be nice to hear what the instrument sounds like after you repaired it.. I hope you change this on yoir video so
Very impressed with how you fixed the warped back piece. A true professional craftsman. Great video !!!
