Maestro .. I hope that you’re doing well .. I haven’t seen a new video in so long that I’m wondering if there may be a problem. I was so hoping to see you complete the Pochette…
What a tragic damage! I'm very curious how it will sound after the whole repair is done. The upper block surprised me when you took the top off. Beautiful work in getting the top in one piece, Maestro!
I love your, very special, splitting/old butter knife.🤣✌👍👍 I'm also a bit tickled, seeing you cut your auto washing sponges, into 4 usable size pieces, like I do. 👌👌😁 I started cutting mine like that about 45 years ago. Using the model airplane plywood is really great: no single grain, to be concerned about and you turn it 45 degrees, to the crack, which makes it even stronger. 👍👍👍
I am currently repairing a violin top and have added my cleats, which are now shaved down. What are your thoughts on coating them with a very thin layer of either hide glue, or varnish, to keep the cleats from drying out? Thanks for your time :)
While I am not the maestro, allow me to say, it has not been a problem, for the past 400 years, so there is no foreseeable reason it should be one now. 😁✌🖖
Any instrument is worth repairing, if that is what the customer wants. An old fiddle, worth no more than $20, can be worth $300 in repairs, if it belonged to someone's grandfather. 😁✌🖖
Maestro Kimon! I hope all is well, really miss your videos, kind of worried how you disappeared.. really hope you're okay, sending my prayers!

Happy New year! I am hoping you are well and prospering in these last days of 2023.
Hi, why did you choose to repair with white glue instead of boneglue?
Hi Maestro, just wanted to add mine to the other well wishers here! Hoping you are well, and less importantly, that you return to UA-cam soon!
This Cello should be ready to play again soon.
You can use a vacuum cleaner with a small nozzle to suck the glue through the cracks.
Hello, maestro-Kimon. Missing you. 😁✌🖖
What’s happened to your channel it seems to have stopped
Thank you

Where are you maestro? I noticed that you posted something on your insta in August 2023.
Be really good to see a neck reset video Maestro. I particular the process of removing the neck :-)
Where is Maestro?
Kimon the Best
what happened my friend?
When the ribs don't sit properly on old cello, can it been refitted?
Very young Cello. Must have been stepping on.
Nope... broken in transport...

Is part two coming out soon?

Could you do more cheap violin review
When next video?
Do you use 1mm or 2mm model airplane plywood? 1mm for violin and 2mm for cello? Or just 1mm for violin and cello?
On flatter surfaces, I use 1mm and on curved like the ribs I use 0,6mm
@@maestrokimon thank you!
@@maestrokimon Is the wood balsa wood, or something stronger? Thanks!
It has been five months since your last video was posted. I hope you are well, and perhaps too busy for video editing.
Has anyone got any news about him? This seems to be his last video.. Posted in January or February 2023
For cello with such quality, I would seriously question whether it is worth repairing.
