This is the first time I have seen one of your videos on You Tube!!! I am impressed!! You have great presence and style, and really make things interesting! I am going to watch a few more videos and I think I will become one of your Patron subscribers...the first for me!!! Oh, by the way I am 68 y.o. turning 69 in April!! Never too old to play ukulele!
Never too old to play the ukulele!! I am so glad your teaching style suits your learning needs. I am here to help spread the ukulele love. I just got back from a ukulele festival and most of us qualify for AARP membership. But we are never too old to let those younger players in on the fun! Please feel free to ask questions.
Never have got the hang of this song so in the end I just gave up. But on this rerun through the course I have decided I must learn to play it properly. Here we go with the play-a-long.
Vegemite...is that like the UK yeast extract paste Marmite, marketing slogan "you either love it or hate it"? I just found out that Marmite used to be sold as Vegex in the US. Is it still around? Might be an acceptable substitution if you are missing Vegemite.
@@TheUkuleleFool My sincere sympathies with your Coeliac situation. I can get away with eating small quantities of wheat products, but the consequences, although not life-threatening, are not pleasant. I haven't eaten toast in years. (Sob). I do make pan bread (damper) or pancakes using chick-pea flour, and can put marmite on that. Or peanut butter and jelly. I just found out that I can buy peanut butter with marmite here in the UK! Chick pea bread is not the same as "real" bread, but it grows on you, has no gluten and is high in protein. Wishing you all the best, J.

It is a tough song, the way the lyrics line up with the strum is the hardest part.

Thanks! The biggest reason I miss it is due to my Celiacs disease. No more toast, no more Vegemite. Boo!
