      Hi kev
I will admit the install so easy hardest job was cutting out the hole as you can see the hole had to be cut into a kitchen work top.

    Moin (Hello) Peter,
thanks for your nicely done review video of the DCC Concepts Apha Meter.
Me I am ordered one of those allready and I hope to receive in a few days after the year change over in January next year.
For my modular layout the Alpha Meter would be very helpful, too, I think, because I am using tge old Roco/Fleischmann DCC digital System with booster and cable wired master Multimaus as Digital Command Station...well this old system does not have the possibility to read out CVs, but it is well enough to run my small modular mashalling layout.
I updated my DCC System recently to the white z21 Start from Roco/Fleischmann, too but do not want to run the Maintenance tool parallel onto my laptop all the time to read out those infos of what the Alpha Meter can give me, too in much easier way.
Have a nice Christmas time and an happy new year,
Greeting from Lübeck in northern Germany
    Ingo R.

      Moin Peter,
well the this year Christmas season I am celebrating with a close friend, only, the rest of my family is anywhere at their Finka in Spain (spanish Country Cottage). I'll go onto St. Mary's Church where J. S. Bach studied Church Organ Music over 338 years ago to listen to the X-mas Oratorium Organ Concert.
Me I do reviewing some historical engineerinh books about of railway safety and interlocking at our local city library of Luebeck to learn more about of the different types of railway interlocking.
Did you know that some northern german railways did used in license built Saxby & Farmer Interlocking registers to their Signal boxes before 1892?
      Very interesting,of course.
      Greetings,
      Ingo R.

Hi Peter, Good review, I have one of these on my shopping list when funds permit, my plan is to put it in an enclosure with connections on each side for power in/out therefore I can move it about from layout too layout or even just on the test bench when servicing locos. All the best Tony

      Hi kev
I would say that the dcc concepts range are all very good as I have there alpha meter, ground signals, and all my points are cobolt ip digital slow action and there so easy to install and wire up.

Hi Peter - I agree with you, this is a great piece of kit. One thought, I’m running my accessories, such as turnouts etc, on a separate power bus - it might be something for you to consider in the future? Sounds like your consumption is going to keep on rising! All the best, and keep on with the great videos, Julian

      Hi Julian
I have thought about running a separate bus wire but me and my bro been under those boards for well over a week in a couple of sittings were sick of wires lol.

    Hi Peter.
I have just got one of these, I have question about where does the output wire need to go
To the Bus or to the track. I am operating DCC.
    Cheers Brian.

      @chelmswoodjunction  Рік тому

      Hi Brian
The first wires go from controller to the meter then the other 2 to the main bus wire input.
      Hope this helps.

@@chelmswoodjunction yeah I'll be getting their Cobalt IP Digital point motors as well as the modern ground signals as I'll be building a modern TMD scene and wagon yard with a roundy double track going around it.

      Hi sapphire
You seriously can't go wrong with the point motors I find them very easy to install wire up and program.
Again the ground signals very good easy to program but as my video the drill bit they give you is useless too small so take a look at my video.
