So in a nutshell: three amazing basses with different techniques (for our greatest pleasure!). Geoff being the master of subharmonics and Tim for the Growl. Avi's strength is simply his smoothness. Thx for this compilation !
And Tim also chest-fry
Here again we have Geoff for Sub harmonics. His are so strong there can be no doubt there. His growls were stronger here than in other vids I have seen but Tim still beat him out by just a bit. It's a real close call on chest fry Avi is pretty good at it. I love his solo work, but the pieces chosen for this vid I have to go with...........Geoff. So Geoff gets first place this round. I truly do enjoy all three in their chosen genres. They are all amazing vocalist. Just brush up on those growled Geoff put some umph behind them 😃.
Wait you're telling me Geoff can go chest in E1, growl in E1,and subharmonics in E1??? No doubt about it best bass

I don't think 6:46 is an E1. 6:46 sounds like a G1.
I still can’t really tell if avi is actually hitting those E1s, especially in chains. They sound more like E2s
its incorrectly annotated as to when the time the E1 actually is but if u jack up the bass and eq its in there but under about 11 other layers of his voice

The subharmonic from Geoff is good but when I am listening to tims growls with speakers or with headphones my body vibrates. I think Geoff is better when it comes to normal singing but if you give everyone a mic Tim will become best.
I know this comment is very random but have you noticed that tim has been losing part of his chest range lately?

He's actually getting lower, notice how he rarely uses growl in their recent music and always uses chest notes or chest-fry on the low notes
@@hopelessant8992 yes you are right he has used less growl but in chest he only got to G1 when he goes down more he only does chest-fry or other techniques
@@gabsd5937 G1 is basically his lowest chest. His lowest recorded chest is around F#1 on the Butts Remix but that might even be chest fry
He isn't losing it. It's just that people are starting to label his notes as chest-fry; and this is right

i think 1:45 is too airy to be chest-fry and not really has the timbre of chest-fry
4:50 sounds like subharmonics to me, i can't really explain that. it's also a clean octave drop and geoff is smiling in the corner (both are no real arguments obviously)
edit: adam has said that tim can do subharmonics, im not sure abt 4:50 tho
