Napier in my honest opinion is a great evaluator of raw talent he has the intuitive to see a player in the raw and can see the potential there and I'm not talking about 5/4 star players
If you take a look back at the mess BN inherited from the previous coaches, and consider what Scott wanted in a head coach, you would understand that BN had to tear down and build back up. Everyone criticized BN after his first season with so many leaving, but they knew they were not a good fit for the program. Fact is, the U of F wants a long term solution since we kept cycling through coaches every 3 years. My take is, he doesn't get a grade until after nest year, that's when everything he has implemented shows results or non-results. I was full in through this year with BN when others wanted him fired. Now those you tube arm chair coaches are supporting him, kinda funny to me. REMEMBER: U of F is a top 5 school nationwide and the B of D wants to see that same quality in all it's programs. Take a look at the other sports. Most are ranked for their sport. I am completely happy with what he's done over all. Does he need to do more? Of course he does. I'm waiting for this next season to grade him.

Florida is consistently finishing 7th in the SEC recruiting rankings under Billy. That's average. And average is exactly how I would describe Billy as a recruiter. We may well catch lightning with DJ and play for championships, but without better recruiting, it's simply not sustainable. And I'm sceptical that even with a winning programme, Billy can become an elite recruiter.
He’s a better recruiter than you give him credit for and they evaluate really good too. Problem we have is Florida doesn’t want to over pay NIL so when you’re not a winning program and you won’t pay more who will you get? Look what happened after they announced Napier was not getting fired. Went from the 51st recruiting class to 10th. The reason Solomon Thomas didn’t come to Florida he wanted money LSU gave it to him. What’s Ohio states roster 20 million. You gotta pay to compete it’s not all about recruiting it’s about money
