We really appreciate you taking us to these campgrounds and even better telling us which are the best spots. Acadia is one of our favorite National Parks. Great video Lou- K & M
Good video Lou. I have been to Acadia / Mt Desert Island many times. I always end up staying at the Walmart in Ellsworth, not the campgrounds due to my lack of advanced planning or they are closed for the season.
Good morning ! Great video! Nicely detailed, and I do like the new way you did it too, with the layout map of each campground, and circling the sites that were good enough to pass the Lou, "keeper" requirements to go down in the books. lol All the campgrounds were very nice, but I really liked the Schoodic Campground the best ! Beautiful pictures!! The Starfish were amazing! Hey, in the 3rd picture of the starfish, you have in the video, did you notice the thing that was on the muscle shell to the left of the starfish ? It has a circular disign, on it, I wonder what it was that was attatched to its shell ??! Just curious , you know me, lol. Well, wonderful video Lou really enjoyed it alot. Take care, vicky : )
Excellent review of one of my all-time favorite places! I've tent camped at Blackwoods many times and visited Seawall as I was exploring the island. Taught my kids that you could survive just on the wild blueberries along the trails in August. And Thanks so much for covering Schoodic! It is on my must stay list for this year. Please tell me you got a chance to walk the low-tide sand bar between Bar Harbor and Bar Island, if not you must go back!
@@LivingOurDreamNow Got it! The Narrows Too video. I had that saved to my Maine camping Playlist. I was thinking about Narrows Too also for this year, forgot to watch it!
Im too excited to go see for myself...newest place on bucket list! My last trip was Croatan Forest and Santee coastal reserve. U guys are the best make- believe Grandparents ever!!!
Enjoyed your video on Acadia. What month were you there? The campgrounds seem to have a relatively short season and only a two month lead for making reservations.
Great presentation of information and I really appreciate the extra touches you added (graphics and your preferred sites). I was a little discouraged that you didnt find any sites in B loop of Blackwoods as that's where I'm targeting in May as a tent camper. Was that because there really weren't any (based on your criteria) or because you were focused on RV sites? Thanks in advance.
Hey Lou, great video! We're getting ready to take our camper for E Tenn to Acadia. One question. A67 in Blackwood only shows TENT for allowable equiptment. Think that's a mistake?
Recommend you call the campground to verify. I’d be leery to reserve a campsite for an RV if the online campsite description only says tent for allowed equipment.
Thank you for the informative video. We are interested in staying at this campground. Do you know what the T-Mobile and Verizon wireless signal is there?
I stopped doing upload and download speeds because nowadays signal varies widely depending on the device. You may be able to check camping location review apps for signal information.
You mentioned that you did not find any showers on the campgrounds. How did you manage that? Do you have a portable shower or a shower on board your RV? Do you (or anyone else in the coment section) know of any public showers in/near Acadia? Thanks in advance!
@@LivingOurDreamNow Thank you for your quick response! We won't be travelling with an RV though and we are only renting, coming over from Europe... I will check the video out though. Maybe it will still be helpful.

That particular Walmart has lightning fast celluar service as the cell tower is right there too! Lou
Love Acadia. It was my favorite place to visit in the summer when we were in Bar Harbor.

Glad it was helpful! Lou
Nice reviews!
Used to go there growing up on family vacations. Probably the most beautiful place I’ve ever been, right there with the Swiss alps.

You’ll see us walk the sand bar in our Bar Harbor video, already published. Lou

Super helpful! Thanks!
THanks for the info! Heading there this summer! I took lots of notes!!!

August into September
Maine is magical.

My focus is on RV campsites, but I do include some campsites for those that tent camp. Lou
Great video! Are these all pet friendly sites?
Be sure to check if any pet restrictions for the particular campsite to be reserved. Lou

@@LivingOurDreamNow Thank you
So where can I get a shower at. I am checking into Blackwoods tomorrow and didn't know they didn't have showers.
Are dogs allowed in the parc and all areas: the beach etc?
Pretty much dog friendly minus swimming beach.
I was wondering in which campground is the beach you pictured is located?
All campgrounds have nearby beaches. None have a beach co-located at the campground.
You Missed Oceanside just as you cross the Trenton Bridge

Water management is a friend to the avid RV camper. We have a video on dry camping essentials where we discuss this topic. Lou

@MareikeT94 Look for a compact outdoor tent shower on Amazon.
I can't imagine spending a month in the park. But does that mean the park is that attractive?
Still did not see everything we wanted to see in the area. Be sure to watch our Bar Harbor video. Lou
