- TTC's 1996 Orion V Compressed Natural Gas bus, 9443, heads to York University via Keele on 60F Steeles West Express.
Of note to YorkU students, notice the lack of stop signs at the crossways around York Boulevard bus loop. - Авто та транспорт
I remember riding 9400 series from 2003 to 2004 on 60 route
i wish they still had buses with these engines, cuz now all they have are those modern crappy orion vii hybrids
I hope these 96s are going to be around for long time. Im not happy that 91s are retiring.
there are still some Orion Vs around, but they run on diesel instead of CNG (the gas that the bus in the video runs on, plus thats what makes the howling sound)
Our 1991 Diesels used to have the Ecomat - then problems arose and they 'upgraded' to the Allison B400R ;-)
I’m watching this video in 2023
The 96 V CNGs never came with any ZF transmission. They came with Allison B400R.
It should be noted that as of September 2007, the exclusive right turn lane at York Boulevard was eliminated, and integrated onto Keele.
your right i do see a rainbow in the corner of the windsheild
and i did not even know its raining!
Same exact BS we got on Long Island Bus...but younger (1996-1998)
The 1995 O5 CNGs have the same engine, but with a ZF Ecomat transmission. Those are cooler :)
This sounds like an L10G/B400R not a L10G/ZF like LIB has. very close though.
It did originally. The 1990-91s had the L10G/ZF originally (units 9370-9394) but were soon replaced with the B400Rs.
