I can relate to this story because my aunt lived in Thokoza late 80s up to the early 2000s. She narrated stories of the Inkatha wars against Xhosa's. Tribal wars fueled by Apart regime.

You can only relate to experience, did you go through the traumatic phase "inkatha iyeza"?
I did and that is something no child should remember or a human being to go through. Going back home my grandmother had to start from start, everything was destroyed. You can't relate because you were told

I will never understand the thinking behind the formation of IFP, i mean they were actively fighting against the liberation of black people. A whole organization's ideology to be based on treachery. Just proud Imidlwembe nje.

The IFP are a Zulu nationalist group. Their priority was the re-establishment of an autonomous and sovereign Zulu nation. The liberation of black people wasn't a concern to the IFP. They only cared about the Zulu kingdom.

@@Prince-qr1te don't lie rather educate yourself more instead of making incorrect statements. A lot of you have this negative feeling towards zulus based on propaganda and stereotypes but you don't truly study history in detail. Even the ANC was founded by a zulu man. For zulus the struggle began when king Cetshwayo's armies fought the british not for zululand but for all of africa. Zulus are proud and territorial yes, but there has never been the idea of zulu nationalism amongst the people

@@AzikhaleHow is a statement about a political party a judgment against a whole culture? I'm a Zulu myself and a descendent of the very King you mentioned through DinuZulu. The IFP only wanted liberation for the Zulu nation. That's a fact.

@@Prince-qr1te KwaZulu was already a self governing bantustan. Gatsha might have initially broke off from ANC for other reasons but it later became clear that IFP’s reason of being was to neutralise the ANC which itself had deeper roots in KwaZulu. That is why IFP received training & funding from apartheid regime and all it’s violence was on largely on ANC members and supporters not its funders. How do you fight a regime that trains your foot soldiers and funds your operations?

Only God knows what experiences like these do to a soul of a black male. I know few individuals from such background. May you find peace and healing that can only be attained through a relationship with Christ. May God heal your wounds and restore your hearts from the things you saw, did and experienced. Blessings to you all
