You think people who can’t even Google & verify this information that is freely available from credible sources will then be able to read a book that can’t pass a peer review? It will be filed under historical fiction which is no good for learning but just entertainment.
Please make sure you get as much information from this man as you can, very informative and eye-opening. I wish more youths could watch these interviews
The education system is a mess. I'm a teacher and 37 minutes ago I taught the learners a very useless skill, a friendly letter. Where are they going to use a friendly letter?
Give this Man his flowers. Angazi he prepares a lot before the show or vele He's this brilliant! Hayi Timer you are a real storyteller, and someone can become a leader from your knowledge. 🥳🤯😯😲
Ay this man is very conscious & a real historian because he's unbiased, he speaks straight facts. I pray South Africans put the beer down & becomes really conscious about their situations.
I think it's time we go back to our roots, growing up I only new PAC, I even thought PAC was the only party bcus in all high schools you'll find the African map with PAC colors. That is Katlehong in 1990 when I started going to school. The Tokoza hostel you speak about is near my area. Sir please write a book, our future depends on these stories. Thanks for sharing with us god bless
This dude he is right i am a qualified IT Technician, in which I struggled to get work and had to start my own business from stretch and had to get a shack and also use my savings from my previous job, and my father helping with some cash when I started my business they told me I wont survive and it took me 5 years and I am still trying to get financing from NYDA and other government institution which deal with funding but no luck so had to hustle and Push my business and support myself and my children, and my wife so what he said about the South African education it hit deep because even my siblings once said why would we study while you do not have a job so jah. It is sad that only critical thinkers can survive what about the people who can not help themselves.
He is telling the truth about Robert Sobukwe being housed alone - solitary confinement -in Robben Island. I visited Robben Island in 2019, the house is still there far from the prison building. After 6 years he was released and put under house arrest until his death in 1978. I think he was a very powerful man and very feared by amabhunu.
Very true what the grootman is saying. We are University graduates that are mechanics! I have come to the realisation that now of late, you need a qualification to increase your chances of atleast getting employment of general work. It's also true that there are graduates that are employed for exactly what they studied, but it's a very small percentage of the graduate population which is ever increasing. Dreams of the voiceless youth are shattered! No solutions, no strategic/physical measures from the government and definitely no real life intervention.
One wonders why this type of history is not fully taught in our schools...🤔🤔 The quote is similar to "if a child is not raised by a village, he will burn it down to feel its warmth"
This guys bafethu , ngeke let the right people hear him plz, we need leaders like this guy ,come on... he's not about politics , he sees Mzansi's future that could possibly be... and very informative too. Bhuda yethu..!!
I love how he words things. Telling the same story but in a way that make sense. He says we ‘surrendered’ makes sense why we have nothing. It was never a win
This Grootman is Deputy President Material so that He is responsible for Government Business which is the Issues He is exactly talking about. A serious RADICAL CHANGE on issues at the level of His Intellect is what we need now here in this Country.
PAC did so much to teach their comrades with SA situation before and after 1994. Hence even Verwoed once said, the only prisoner in Robben Island was Prof Sobukwe. Others were just mini criminals. PAC and Azapo cadres have political substance, not the ANC ones who change by whim and wind.
I like how this guy thinks, I always tell my colleagues when they comment about me working on my car, that I cannot take my car to a garage when I have a degree because I have been taught how to research and implement. If I do take it there I will be there and b part of the action even though I will pay.
Thanks bru about mentioning this. I'm from ejozini. I always teach my friends about how "blacks stupidity ". My friends always feel like I hate black people while I'm black. Number one I'll say this in short. The problem we're facing in South Africa has nothing to do with whites. It has everything to do with blacks. Wena ongafuni ukungizwa "fokofu". I'll say this like uKing Bhaka. Ngiyaphinda futhi. Ngithi our main problem we have in Africa is a black person
“A generation which ignores history has no past - and no future.” And “those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” Those with ears will hear. Like 99% ex-cons on this platform who make the cut he is a good story teller, adding salt and spice to marinate the listener. ‘You know where the danger is’ the hyperbole, the fibs or straight lies pass for truth because the average listener does not read, has itchy ears for gossip and wants to be spoon fed and as a result they are taken by whichever wind blows. He can’t write a history book based on these narratives regardless how plausible and persuasive he might sound because it will not pass academic rigour to be included in the curriculum, details and facts matter #AK 47 for example. To his credit he raises some valid questions (eg quality & focus of education including political, moral decay of society) which any conscious being should want to research and be informed about. However some of his narratives which might sound plausible are fudged i.e. misinformed or what the Americans call ‘alternative facts’. The self protection argument is a delusion. Apartheid was not about a victim trying protect himself but a calculated and evil system of hegemony & sheer greed. The trekboers when they first moved inland it could be argued that act was about running away from the British but anything post the Union of South Africa in 1910 was purely hegemony & they were bedfellows literally, there was no apartness between the English and the Dutch/Afrikaner - the Europeans stuck together. All European colonialists (be it Belgian, British, Dutch, Italian, Spanish etc) wherever they went in Asia, Africa or the Americas used the same racial stratification & relegating indigenous populations to second class & if they are settling and not only pillaging they would banish them to the hostile reservations which can’t support their way of life. To build a ‘rainbow’ nation many people were too eager to depoliticise and take the opium of self service & enjoyment. When people are self absorbed they have no regard for truth or interest of others.
AK does not stand for Alfred Kalishkinov. it stands for "Avtomat Kalashnikova", a Russian phrase meaning "Kalashnikov's Automatic [rifle]". it was created by Mikhail Kalashnikov.

I'm inspired by this man,sad fact that the History he's talking about we don't know it and we are learning summary when the hero was born and when he died,I'm in grade 11 and I'm shocked as History learner😢
After listening to the gentlemen, I feel absolutely depressed. As a continent we are so fucked. With all the qualities we possess in Africa plus the natural resources we should be beyond superpower levels

That's right
I know I'm late but I too do agree and he should be interviewed as much as possible
Forget books bro. Nobody reads nowadays. A documentary series that can be clipped on tik tok would be more effective
