It would be at a disadvantage with these two examples. A Trevenant or any Pokémon holding a Pecha Berry with the ability Harvest. It can just eat away the poison and it'll be like it never happened, and harvest it back whenever it pleases. An ally poison. If an ally Pokémon (badly) poisons the opposing side, Poison Puppeteer is useless because it won't work. It sucks, I know, but unfortunately it's a thing. Unless Pecharunt can learn Knock Off, it's just.. well.. ya get it..
this guy is either gonna be an absolute criminal with Posion Gas or do absolutely nothing competitively, no in-between
Its about time gengar got a friend
Immunity Snorlax walls it. Immune from Poisoning, and Immune to Ghost moves!
ok but that's like snorlax's worst ability
Bulky Assault vest set go brrrrrr
who wouldve known how clutch pecharunt would’ve been for u in the P4G pechagoat
It will be what brings about the revival of Garchomp in singles
Doubles Poison Gas Pecharunt is lit
I’d imagine running Pecharunt with Toxipex simply for the convenience that it can help set up toxic spikes and allowing for some ridiculous shenanigans with that passive of Pecharunt.
Imagine how busted it would be if the target would get poisoned, the lum berry procs, then gets confused because lum berry procs immediately on the first status.
I still hate for doing a home invasion
Not to mention, Pecharunt also learns Toxic Gas, which is good for doubles, and Venoshock as an alternative to Hex!
Love how Zangoose has immunity
Conversely, in order for it to be poisoned like that, it would actually be benefiting from Toxic Boost.
lf Pokemon Reborn taught me anything, its thats confused opponent Pokemon never hit themselves and always snap out turn 1
A single goldengo can fuck it up hard.
Pecha suffix on a poison type, finally they're getting meta with their names
Kingambit: Allow me to introduce myself!
This is the most involved mythical ever. Not even Deoxys has this much story relevance.
They gave it the defence to protect it from EQ... this things a menace.
Assault Vest should make it a mixed offensive tank
Gamefreak: we made a Ghost-Poison Type Pokémon, and now... WE MADE A POISON-GHOST TYPE POKÉMON
The fact it can both Toxic and confuse Ray with 1 move is pretty nutty. This pokémon can essentially be one of the best Poison stallers yet with such a huge defense stat and access to the perfect move pool.
Disclaimer: don't play competitive and don't know a ton bout the meta but this seems SUUUUPER competitively viable
Many people look down in Pecharunt because of its stats and they forget its ability and they think it’s bad because it’s bad against steel but being able to just because it viable to powerful ghost type moves it’s great.
