I don't care if Novak wins another 20 grand slams, he can never have the beauty, grace, elegance, the technique of Federer. IMO the best player since Laver.
Nadal fan here..I won't argue that Federer clearly wins the talent eye test over Djokivic/Nadal..He makes it look so easy!!...Alot of QB's have/had more talent than Tom Brady...Alot of golfers have/had more talent than Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus... Djokovic and Nadal are not clearly better than Federer but both of them have owned Federer head to head in the most important matches...With that said regardless of Djokovic/Nadal... Federer is a legend and one of the greatest to ever grace a tennis court...All 3 will forever be in in the conversation of GOAT...Making a blanket statement for any of the big 3 as hands down GOAT is silly
For real though, his swings don't look too powerful but damn the ball still goes extremely fast. He uses one hand for them backhands and he doesn't even grunt, but still he leaves the opponent standing still.
His playing was so beautiful as always...awesome and entertaining...He is the best of all...Federer is the world tennis hall of fame atlet..just like michael jordan in basketball, zinedine zidane in football, and tiger woods in golf... #respect #federerforever
Any idea what that event was? Strange for Fed to be wearing a watch during a match so suspect it might have been an exhibition. What a shot - he seems to be grinning already as he hits it
He could have defeated any prime player at any time in any era🤯🤯🤯🤯 06 was so close. 2017 coz he yearned to defeat rafa during his prime years. But 2017, he was on🔥🔥🔥 so this separates 2017 with 2006 defeating even rafa multiple times with ease. But 2006 is more than enough to obliterate anyone with current technology and work out regime. We can say he redefined 2006 in 2017.. Just stunning.
@clue mysteryRoger has defeated prime Novak 2011 RG semis, rafa was also close to prime in 2017 2 slams. Also that backhand could have won a RG against rafa in the earlier years. Who knows. All I know is that backhand was troubling rafa a lot.. He beat rafa mercilessly 4 times that year. Game wise Roger's backhand was being vulnerable against rafa. He improved that also. Being 4 to 5 years older than Novak and Rafa and still being able to challenge them is something beyond your thought process. Here we don't question his prime. Wat questions is how good is Roger that he was able to defeat Novak and Rafa nearly after 37 or 38 years. I think u can't comprehend in ur tiny brain on how impressive comeback that was in 2017.
On second thought all these shot are incredible , that’s why if ur a fan of tennis u can’t help but love this guy , he’s in league of his own when it comes to highlights , like McEnroe says , it’s scary how good he can be at times

There was a great Reddit post describing the essential differences between the big 3, likened Nole to having 2 shields, Rafa to having a sword & a shield & Fed to having 2 swords. Idk why everyone must insist their fav player is the "best ever", can mean so many things (Highest peak? Best longetivity? Most complete player with fewest weaknesses on average?) Is very very subjective based on criteria. But just enjoying enjoyable tennis is where it's at :)
Roger's slice us to be brutal it was the key to beating everyone ever since he got the big racket his slice died and thats why he started having issues with novak.
For those who think the Nole would have faired as good as he had against Federer if he faced him in his prime years they are fooled. He only got glimpses of what Federer was before his back injuries with full upper body rotations behind those shots.
Federer in his Younger Prime used to beat down Djokovic so bad that Djokovic would RETIRE before the Matches even finished...Federer was Still GREAT as he got Older but Once he got Older is When Djokovic hit his Prime...Even in 2019 Fed had 2 Match Point on his Raquet in Wimbledon Finals vs Djokovic...Even though he did not Convert he still took Djoko to the LIMIT and was Unfortunate to Lose that Match..Just shows that Even an OLD Feferer is still Capable of Competing at the HIGHEST level vs the BEST in the game
Federer has such a Modest Smile reaction to his Own Great Shots...His Reaction is him having FUN out there on the Court...What a Gentleman and What a GREAT GREAT Talent
I'm a Djokovic fan and I respect both Federer and Nadal. I don't know why you guys are always hating on Novak when he is a great player and a great person ( always smiling after loss e.t.c... )... The 3 are just great friends who play professional tennis.
Sensational shots by RF...every shot he plays with style, class and grace..
Gosh I love those forehands.
2:51 That backhand pass is absolutely insane, wow.
Incredible precision of Magic Federer!
His powerful backhand along the line is gorgeous and unstoppable!
One of the 3 Gods of tennis I pray to before any match or training session.
5:33 Blake says “you’re too good”
The best and most graceful ever. The speed on these shots comes from racket head speed, but also impeccable footwork and timing.
I cannot agree more !! All of what you mention PLUS a personality to compliment it all and never throwing a tantrum
I don't care if Novak wins another 20 grand slams, he can never have the beauty, grace, elegance, the technique of Federer. IMO the best player since Laver.
Neither of them are Nadal. Neither can bring the intensity, the fighting spirit, the the determination and the jaw-dropping moments that Rafa can
I'd have to agree. Federer is incredible to watch. Nadal is also up there. Djokovic... Don't even watch him. Racket breaking, yelling. It's no fun
Absolutely 100% agree with you
Federer was something else. The Fedal era is my favourite tennis era and I reckon it was the best ever.
So elegant. So majestic..!!
His arm is so strong! He’s able to just effortlessly chip backhands at 100 mph!
Not strength.
Talent & timing 👌
@@drejtoman2974 I would say: Perfect technique, timing, body and arm movment and a lot of talent
Not 100 mph lol that's too fast

@@picotera7328 Nope. He can smash over 100 mph if he wants to.
The speed on his shots both wings is insane man
wow never saw fed grunting so much.
It was an exhibition match where Fed sometimes likes to exaggerate a little :-)
The smoothest
Simply the best!!!
0:44 I love this short
Great vid!
Federer forehand is so smooth man
It was part of an exhibition tournament though. (The Gillette -Federer Tour)
It was pre-2011, afterwards it was not as deadly.
4:00 I think about this shot a lot
All I've got to say is 'Damm'
poetry
His forehand back in the day.... On fast surfaces is lethal af
At his peak, Federer forehand was the best shot ever in singles tennis history. Can produce winners from absolutely anywhere.
13/20 off the backhand side which is kind of a surprise actually
The best....👏👏👏👏
The GOAT
The only GOAT
"He makes it look easy." Nothing more to say.
Seems like Federer can place the ball exactly where he wants, and with so much power and grace. Truly a great player. A pleasure to watch.
Único!!!
He’s a joy to watch, the most elegant tennis player to ever hold a tennis racket coming from die hard rafa fan, but a tennis fan in the first place
The best ever!
I’ve seen a lot of RF vids and I didn’t realise actually how good he is until now

3:31 the one point where Federer grunted from start to finish
4:02 the umpire’s reaction says it all
Federer footwork truly is a thing of beauty

Federer Is the best I have ever seen
Look at the chair ump's reaction at 4:03 . Gold!!!
Any idea what that event was? Strange for Fed to be wearing a watch during a match so suspect it might have been an exhibition. What a shot - he seems to be grinning already as he hits it
Sorry it wasn’t a tricky effort to figure out - this was a Gillette exhibition match tour of Brazil
2017 Federer was the best ever.

Every time I see querry i think he is a gta customized player
That’s one of the greatest shots in tennis , the back footed one hand backhand down the line , right around thirty’s seconds a gain at querry

I expect precision and clever shots from Roger, but he has pure power too!
We have the privilege to live this time with him.
He’s just too good.
they have all their unique attributes, but in my books i love watching RF most
A new time of backhand is born... The Federal Backhand.🔥
His back hand’s shot..just amazing and beauty..😏
Only 22 times..?! His balance when striking the ball is out of this world
did anyone notice the sound of the wind of rafa racket in the wimbledon clip?
I feel bad for Tsonga, RF does deliberately want to make him looked bad, it is just how RF plays.
Federer played so long that he self actualized tennis for a human , he raised the bar , he set it to a new height and who’s gonna rise above it ?
He said this is the best tennis can be , who’s gonna out do me
Those inside forehand return winners...
No one else.
Fed artist
Djokovic machine
Nadal warriot.
King Roger, truly a legend 🤲🏼
When you think about it, it's scary that most shots in this video are on his backhand which is considered "weaker".
But also you need to think about how this is what he’s known for.
And then there's the fact that he plays it both open-stance and closed-stance.
0:43 backhand swinging volley from the baseline-very special stuff.
He is consistent with lots of his winning shots
The fearhand
im a VERY big federer fan im very sad when he quit because he plays sooo beautiful
He's the G.O.A.T because he's the N.T.P.O.A.T

From 3:32 to 4:46 were back to back points. Just insane.
Racquet head speed ...
4:07 reaction from Roger
Uffffff!
Ripping the forehand down the line! Check out the new song called FedFan
He’s like a male version of Steffi Graf.
