      Definitely not worth the cost. I wonder what would be the cost comparison if someone recreated the meals. Loved the video.

    I cannot possibly justify the price of this meal system. Why are all the vegan meal plans SO EXPENSIVE and for so little food? Whole food plant based doesn't have to be expensive, but it seems like all the meal planning companies think all vegans are freaking rich??

    • @msjkramey
      @msjkramey Рік тому

      A lot of companies see specialty diets and just see dollar signs (despite the fact that plant protein is so much cheaper than animal protein. You know how many bags of dry beans that you can get for the price of a steak?)

    I did all 3 meals for 4 days- some of the salads were difficult for me to finish because they were not enjoyable. Plus some of the leafy greens were not as fresh looking as yours. What i did enjoy as that by day 4 my skin was glowing and my hair looked thicker - i have gallstones which cause crazy bloating - i had zero bloating. So i liked the results more than the food for sure

    My dad works for Sakara. I like eating the bars with oatmilk it helps with the plant protein flavor you were talking about.💚

    Thank you for the review, I've been barraged with ads by them as if i have 25 dollars to spend on a single salad 😂 The food does look tasty and it has the pinterest/clean girl/goop vibe going on too which is probably what they are banking on to get women to pay for their service.

    I've been pondering trying them for over a year. I'm a (part time vegan) vegetarian, so it's likely that I'll be used to the plant based limitations. However, I'm more concerned about the quality and freshness. I ordered the bars and granola, today. I'll see what I think of those. It's likely that I won't rest until I try it. We shall see.

    This was so interesting! As a vegan I always like to see what kinds of food combinations get put together and funny for me, I actually thought these were combinations that were out of my ordinary! Could be that I stick to the veggies I know I like lol so I think I would have actually struggled with some of the ones they sent you. It’s nice that they looked like big portions but as you mentioned, it’s very hard to justify $25 a salad. Those prices are close to some in New York sadly lol, I’ve definitely spent like $17 on a salad which is awful 🥴 While I do like the idea, I’m not a fan of the price range.

    • @avooneverything
      @avooneverything  2 роки тому +1

      yes the combos were definitely interesting and they gave me ideas for salads that I can make to switch it up! For that price I expected more things that would be harder to make myself kind of like the vegan feta cheese, but I thought the majority of things were super easy to meal prep so the price was definitely not justified lol

    It’s crazy here in Houston the upscale places will serve you $25-30 salads but they usually have a good portion or meat protein as well. As someone who is an avid fish eater I feel like this would not sustain me until the next meal.

    I love your review! I looked at their website and ended it there! My friend though purchased some meals and noticed a sour taste from a salad , the salad was too small for her enjoyment and very strange tasting drink . I am not a vegan either, I usually have beef or chicken with green beans or sweet potato chunks. She quit the program!

    • @avooneverything

      honestly I already eat pretty healthy so I didn't really notice a huge difference, but also I only did lunches and not the whole program so maybe that's part of the reason too :) I'm glad you saw a positive difference when you tried it!

You confirmed what I was as thinking… If they reduced the price, they would probably have more subscribers…

    That is one of the most expensive salads I have heard of! Does not seem like a meal service I'd want to subscribe to either. I agree they could likely offer at a better price point and still turn a good profit.

    I am 5’3 134 lb and very conscious of what I eat. This salad to me was huge and I was not able to finish it, as a matter of fact I have a hard time finishing all the meals. I’m your comments, you didn’t mention that the deliver is very economical everything they use is organic and you pay for the connivence of ready to eat a healthy meals.

    I remember my husband and I were looking for sofa chair, we saw one really nice and it was like 500€, I mean it’s ok I have that much money but is it really worth it?!!Than we spoke to the manager and he said “ some people really like to by expansive stuff, if that sofa chair was 150€ or 200€, they would not consider to look at it, but because sofa chair is 500 and above they kind of “ like it”…. Yeah I understand but not me. The same thing is about this salat, If I have a lit of money why not, but because I don’t I will cook myself something else or make it at home from scratch

    GIRL, you lost me at $25 salads, lmao!!! I can't believe they charge that much for one salad. Considering you didn't find all of the salads to be super amazing, I don't think it's worth it. The fruit one intimidated me too, haha! I don't know how I feel about fruit in salad. And what was up with the avocado covered in all of those seeds?? My problem with salad too is that I usually need to eat something else. At least they gave you some side items with your meals but those look ehh too! Thanks for sharing about this service! I've honestly never heard of it before :)

    OVERPRICED, SOGGY MEALS, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, NO FEEDBACK, POSSIBLY CONTAMINATED FOOD
    Absolutely the worst customer service. My first delivery was missing 2 entire days. The food was soggy and most of it was very unappetizing. I paid for the The 30-Day Reset Nationwide: 20-Day, due to all the positive reviews and the information on their website. I went to check the calendar on the app, and it said I had no plan. I emailed the support (weekend), they sent back a very short message saying check the website, the app probably isn't working. Checked the website and no plan listed in the calendar. The only list of what I received was on a UPS label stuck to the inside of the box.
    The meals were packed in a lot of plastic. The sauces and toppings were in the food containers, and covered in food. I wonder if they clean those containers before they cram them with the rest of the meal. I called today, since it has been 2 days since my email to Sakara Life regarding the issues and missing meals and no one answers the phones. You get a voicemails stating to email them because that is probably the fastest. Very disappointed.
    Missing meals, soggy food, contaminated meals, by putting plastic containers in with your food. I did the math and it cost around $28.00 per meal ($1,680 divided by 20 [number of days] = $84 per day divided by 3 meals = $28 per meal), which some of the meals are six ounce container full of soggy contents, unappealing. Definitely very disappointed. Some of the meals remind me of the public school meals. There is no way to tell them you didn't like something, so they don't send it again. Other meal companies definitely do this and at a lower price point. I'll update if and when I hear back from Sakara Life. I wish I could send in photos and video to show what I received I am sure many people wouldn't order.
    PS: Oh and one thing I find immoral/unethical is that they are using UPS labels in their packaging, for their companies use, not used for shipping, but actually printing on the labels and putting them in the box. That is how I received the list of meals in my delivery. Very sketchy and definitely not the motto they print on every meal "Made with Love, Whitney and Danielle". I have my own small businesses and I would never use anyone's supplies for my own savings. It is tantamount to stealing.
    Their website states it hasn't been updated since 2021. They are using Shopify for their website, so it should be just a setting.
    I'll be setting up a website with photos, videos, my experience and the response I get back from Sakara Life.
    UPDATE: CUSTOMER SUPPORT FAIL - NO ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF MISSING MEALS
    Just heard back from support and they didn't even address the two complete days of missing meals. They also told me I cannot get a list of the meals each time them come. I have to go onto the website at beginning of the week and put in my zip code and copy and download from the site. This plan costs $1,680 and they don't email you a list? But if you buy their lesser plans, you get to use the calendar on the website so you know what meals were supposed to be shipped and what meals are for what days. Horrible customer service. Had to email them again, asking what about the 2 entire days of meals they didn't send. Guess I will be heading to the grocery store (Did I mention it is 30 minutes away on a good day?), since I have no food for Thursday and Friday, from Sakara Life (as promised and what I paid for an average of $28 per meal, that comes to ($168), ten percent of the cost of this plan.
