Tamara, see if you can locate the outside wall of the RV where the pantry is and spray that. They are coming in from outside and maybe even gave Luke caulk the floor of the pantry on the inside also.

Yes, our exterminator recommended it. One of the ways it comes is in a syringe type dispenser so you can't get it exactly where you want it.
We use those Terro liquid baits every spring. When my boys’ were little, they loved watching the ants swarm the bait and take back to their “friends” as I called them😂. It’s like a little science project that Winston may get a kick out of.

We cut the center of the bread with a biscuit cutter and toast the center piece and when the egg and bread were done we covered the hole with the toasted round piece and called they surprise eggs!
I lay bay leaves everywhere to deter ants.....I haven't had any in quite awhile. They totally freak me out....ugh. I've had them get into peanut butter that is seal...they are little magicians 😂🐜

The bouquets of flowers you & Winston picked were perfect. I call those eggs Toad in a Hole (my son likes making them since he learned how in school last year). Ants are horrible things; once you see one then it seems the entire colony moves in. We get them every Spring without fail. Vinegar & dish soap is a spray bottle has helped so far this year.

Try putting terro in your pantry. The ants will take it back to the nest and it will get rid of them. Also you can try putting some under your trailer. Just don’t let your dog eat it.

Diatomaceous earth mixed with black pepper and borax around the trailer and in all corners and drawers will get rid of your ants. I use a BBQ squirt bottle and cut the tip down and squirt it around all the edges. 1 cup each DE/borax. 1/4 cup pepper…mix well.

The entire bottom and all of the ground under your travel trailer needs to be treated for ants. They will continue to invade if you don't get rid the main ant mound which is probably under your rv. Enjoyed the video. Safe travels 🥰

Put dried bay leaves in the cabinets and do not like the smell. It worked for me.

Hi Tamara. My Daddy also called it "bird in a nest." Winston was pretty good on that pogo stick! FYI: Household items like citrus fruits, black pepper, peppermint oil, cayenne, thyme, and lavender can create natural ant repellents. Essential oils like peppermint, lemon, and eucalyptus have been known to deter ants from entering your home.
Thank you!!! 😊 I did try the peppermint oil outside and it seemed to calm them from around the grills and in the outside kitchen! I wanted to try to treat them naturally, but I’m to the point I’d try anything if it would work! I may make a herb blend and put it in the pantry 🤣🤣
Cinnamon works also. Running a daycare in my home, this is a safer way that I can put it in my kitchen around my garden window. Have a great vacation and try not to worry. ❤

Tamara, have you ever heard of meebas. That's what I was told it was. You take corn tortillas and tear them up and throw them into some butter. Let the corn tortillas soak up a little of that butter then add eggs in since it's you and your son add four or five eggs in the pan and scramble in the eggs and cheese of your choice. Cook until the eggs are the way you like them. You can cook in a pan, or your little stove that you use or your black stone. Then eat with warm flour tortillas or toast. You can add in anything to the mix but I prefer the basic. I'm half Spanish and half Italian. My momma was Spanish and she made this for us as children. Have a great day. You seem to be doing well. I hate ants! Depends on the kind of ants. We get what I call picnic ants & we just spray & I als put down traps but carpenter ants eat wood like termites & we called professional for them & they sprayed outside & in everywhere. Didn't even see a spider in almost 3 yrs & haven't seen any more .
You went through HUGE change, since you are getring into prepping & from scratch food & a big old house to RV so I can see why it was a lot!
We called it "chicken in a basket, but regardless of what it's called, it is GOOD!!! Maybe throw some salsa or some hot sauce on it, 🥰🥰
I usually lay down several ant traps throughout my house in the spring. On the floors in corners,out of the way. Under my pantry doors on the floor. It seemed to work for the spring and summer. I replace them every spring. I rarely see ants in my house since I started doing this. Any brand of trap. They are small. I use about 8-10 through out the house. Good luck.

I cannot stand ants either. I found Combat max ant killing bait and they are wonderful. They are child-resistant bait stations.

Ants are the worst... I understand about eyeballing your pantry and being afraid of what you'll come home to. Having to clean out the pantry really derails any other plans you had for your day. We call it egg -in-the-hole. Our extended family stopped for breakfast at a rural diner and our bratty cousin matter of factly ordered egg-in-the-hole. Grandma said, you have to tell the waiter what it is. So he did and they made it for him. Next time we stopped there, it was on the menu.
Our daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters go to the beach twice a year, they always fix up a box like that and take with them, they call it their snackle box
If you’re looking for a natural solution to get rid of the ants, use clove oil. They absolutely hate the smell. I boil some clove spice in water and spray everything. It works absolutely great, i used it on my red currant bushes because they were building nests in it. Out side you can infuse coconut oil with clove spice, the oil should last longer than water. I get ants here all the time, I use to use salt, but the cloves were hands down better.😊
Hi i agree with this the one video watcher get TERRO for your ant problem i love it you buy it at Lowe’s or I believe Walmart it will take a few days but those little guys will come thinking they came for a bbq or Thanksgiving dinner eating it n take terro back home with them to share snd wont see them no more let us know how you make out

If the egg was cooked in bread, it was egg in a basket. If it was cooked in the middle of a hash brown or corned beef patty it was egg in a nest.
Toad in a hole was a baked breakfast casserole with eggs, cheese, biscuits pieces and sausages. The sausage was the toad.
Ants do not like original Irish spring. I shave it with a peeler and put it where the ants are. We’re in Oklahoma. It works for us-we’re rural.
See if you can get some Amdro and go around the outside of your camper. We had humongous red ant hills in our yard that we tried everything to get rid of. A friend told us about Amdro. I put it on the ant hills and they were gone and never had anymore since. Walmart sells it.
I live in an rv and we spray around the outside of ours often so that bugs and insects will be deterred from coming in. It works out pretty well. Ants use to be a problem as well but not anymore.

It is hard to hide a mess in a RV. The good thing is, cleaning up the mess is easier because the size of an RV. Oh no ants are a pain! Be careful if they are red ants.

Liquid ant traps work great. Walmart has them.
The tomcat flat sticky mouse traps work great for ants and they are disposable. Have a great vacation 😊
Try putting baking soda outside in a circle around your rv.
once I read if you pour salt all around the legs and thing touching the ground to the trailer it will detour ants.
If my mom was making it she called it egg in a basket, if my dad or either grandma made it they all called it toad in a hole

I don’t. We buy it, but I add to it. He gets fresh fruits/veggies/proteins weekly. Two eggs every morning unless I don’t have time. He is spoiled ❤️

My dad always called it “eggs in a frame”. He would cut a hole in the bread with a cup and cook that circle in butter with the egg in a frame and serve the crispy, buttery circle on top of the egg. So delicious.😋

While your gone put 7 dust around RV put in ant traps in your pantry ,you can get them at Walmart both of the stuff at Walmart

That’s the first time I’ve ever seen eggs done that way, it must be an out west thing. Also, those pesky ants we have them too a there really bad after the rain. I too spray but I have found that they don’t like baby powder or cinnamon. If you sprinkle either around areas you see them they won’t come back to that area. Also, for safe pet/people ant spray checkout Wondercide. Its great stuff an safe for everyone.
