6/22/24 Captiva Ospreys: Ding Fledged and Returned To The Nest !

The eldest of the two siblings, Ding, fledged this morning at 60 days of age. After flying around for a few hours, and resting on the palm stump, Ding returned to the nest seven hours after fledging. Ding landed on the camera, and then jumped down to the nest, landing on Edie, for her first return after becoming a fully flighted bird. Congratulations to Ding, and the proud parents, Jack and Edie.
