Your House is not what you *are* it's what you value - Hermione is very bookish, but she values bravery more. Also she can be quite close minded, you'll get there :P

i love how you always try and look deeper into each character to understand why they act the way they do instead of just immediately accepting that they’re bad guys. idk but it really gave me such pure hufflepuff vibes. i’m really enjoying your reading vlogs and can’t wait for more! i’m rereading the whole series and am currently midway through PoA, so i’m really excited to see how your reading experience was like for that one.
I won’t spoil anything in the series, but several of your insights about some of the characters will become very important in the later books. Enjoy!

You were wondering about why they didn't know where the Slytherin common room was. The students are not allowed to go into other houses' common rooms. Also, the castle is very big, and Gryffindors and Slytherins are not really best of friends anyway, so it makes sense they didn't know where the Slytherin common room is.
Very logical explanation then 😂 I'm still really surprised by the exclusivity! No wonder it's such a big deal into which house you get sorted 😳
This was great! You made me remember what it felt like to experience this book for the first time, although back in the day I wasn't able to analyze the story as well as you do now reading it as an adult.
Can't wait for the next one. From this point forward the books turn into something really special. :)

I think Hermione wasn't a Ravenclaw because Ravenclaws are open minded people and as you'll see (or have already seen, i don't know if you've finished the books yet) Hermione most definitely isn't (this is shown a lot in the order of the phoenix as she interacts with a character named Luna)

I love how you liked Lockhart and pointed out his good traits. I despised the guy for as long as I can remember and now realised for the first time there's more to him than his annoying arrogant side. And of course there's more to him being the way he is than just simply him choosing it, as it is always the case with humans.
And I was baffled when you pointed out that the voice keeps luring Harry to the crime scenes, essentially framing him. I have never looked at it that way. I thought it was pure coincidence because he just could hear the voice. But there might actually have been the intention to frame him, in order to get the diary to him. Now I feel stupid because I've read the books like 30 times and never noticed 😂

From my understanding, Hermione is not in Ravenclaw, even though she's studious, because she's so closed-minded. Ravenclaws are open to all possibilities, and they want to absorb all knowledge. Hermione is hyper-focused on obeying the rules, and she refuses options that are "outside the box."
i think it depends on your motivation for knowledge, for example a slytherin could be just as studious as a ravenclaw. Why you may ask? well, knowledge in the wizarding world makes you more powerful. so if you desire power it would do you good to learn everything you can.
Have you read the third book? I don’t see a recording for the third book or the fourth book 5th sixth or seventh so just wondering if you’re going to finish reading the series I mean I mean it’s like two years ago.

Hermione wasn’t in Ravenclaw because of her lack of creativity just like me I’m intelligent, but not creative
Edit: and probably the Sorting Hat saw the hero in Hermione just like why Neville wasn’t in Hufflepuff because he asked to be in Hufflepuff, but the Sorting Hat saw the hero in him
