You could have combined your small shields and had room for more higher quality ones...

Havent played this game in months, but pretty sure you can't combine the shields..........

If you need space couldn't you just combine the shields that aren't touching the bonus stat item? And the green recovery items

I assumed it only worked for weapons. You combine 3, and it upgrades its tier level.
