Can’t imagine why you don’t have more viewers or subscribers as this podcast is of such a high caliber. I can’t wait to continue watching for more episodes. Very much appreciate your talk with Julia Samuels who more than most tells it straight about life and grieving. I believe this podcast would be a very strong fit for the Rumble app to not squelch and instead uplift viewership.
This is the best video on grief in this period of my life losing my husband late last month. I understand I need to accept the new person I am and I understand that my husband is in my heart and the memories are in my heart so when I am doing decisions, I can ask my heart. Hey Phil, should we do this this or that, and his influence still remains even after death. This lady is brilliant.
One of the best interviews on the topic of grief for me!! I felt so understood, she is knowledgeable but loving and gentle, exactly what one needs in the time of grief.
I cannot believe that this fascinating podcast has not been seen by more viewers. I lost my husband two weeks ago (September 2nd) and it is so helpful and comforting.
Ive just found you and don't think I'm going to let you go - you are a diamond but the thing I like besr is your concise interviewing and your guests are of a high calibre who talk about journies everyone goes through with positivity. Thank you. Very much ❤.
I understand this person’s experience and had the same reaction from a counsellor just over 10 years ago. Mine went further and told me to be quiet and not talk about it. Finding a good counsellor is difficult.
I spent the night with my daughter when she died. I really needed that. I also have my mum’s ashes near me and I feel happier because she feels close. It is personal. I needed to hold her before letting go of her body.
At deeply emotional times it is normal for a Dad & Daughter to want to be close..... But certainly not in a sexual way. That is something else totally...
An excellent discussion. Julia is absolutely brilliant, insightful and compassionate. She truly helped us work through our own loss. You never move on. I’ve just learned to live with it and accept it.
My 82 year old mother lost her unconditionally loving husband 11 weeks ago. They were married for 14 years together 15. I'm worried about her chronic fatigue. This morning she had a little bit of energy but by noon she was completely exhausted. She looks tired. She's home with me.
@melliecrann-gaoth4789 my mom is feeling a little better. It's been 4 months since losing her sweet husband. She's had some time to rest, read, pray, and watch lots of netflix! She's begun to come out of the shock of losing her husband and her home and her whole identity. We are getting back to walking. It's been super hot in Texas for the past couple of weeks.
Thankfully, a year’s wait and six sessions of CBT is not always true. Five months wait and eight sessions of NHS Talking Therapy has been my experience. Plus good signposting to sources of help if there had been a crisis in the meantime.
Hi Angela - the full transcript is available on our website underneath Julia's episode details. Hope you enjoyed the conversation. We thought she was wonderful. www.crisiswhatcrisis.com/podcasts/julia-samuel-on-facing-loss-managing-grief-and-finding-joy-again/
So glad to know that too as this interview was so comforting and informative but currently having my own grief experience I became distracted at times with my own thoughts as you do so having the transcript will be so helpful. ❤

How much embodied wisdom and true compassion lives in this woman, deep respect for her. 🙏

She has tons of material on grief. Her books are terrific and she has her own podcasts.
So very sorry for your loss, dear. May your darling husband, rest in eternal peace & happiness ❤

What an incredibly wise lady ❤

We've been trying to get her out for a walk every day, a very short walk to the stop sign and back. It's very slow to make much difference.
Grief is phenomenally physically exhausting.

@melliecrann-gaoth4789 The grief and anxiety affected her whole being. It was like a nervous breakdown. Her mobility and mind were shaken.
"incrementally adapt" perfect
