Character. The Simpsons nowadays are literally caricatures or shells of their former selves. They have ZERO personality and are incredibly hollow. The stories don't lead anywhere and have INCREDIBLY abrupt endings, if ANY ending at all. No life lessons to learn, no character development, and animations are poorly done, no passion put into them. The voice actors now see nothing but a paycheck and rightfully so; this reflects in their performances now.

The older episodes had a fantastic formula that they knew how to structure properly. From how you're speaking to me, it seems like the only opinions you are listening to are people on 4chan who think that "Sneed's Feed & Seed (Formally Chuck's)" is the greatest joke ever told in all of humanity, which it's not, it's okay at best. But the rest of the classic Simpsons is honestly great. I'm not in the majority either who think the Simpsons "died" after season 9. I actually enjoy it all the way up to Season 15.
