    Hello, I take always E85 when I go to France with my 1995 E320 M104 Mercedes W210 without any modification since more than 64.000 km/ 40.000 miles. Fuel consomption goes higher by 30% but at the low prices in France where I can get this E85 it's no obstacle to me: 0,50 EUR / litre vs. 1,50 EUR / litre.

    in the north in winter, when the humidity is almost zero from November-march theres no water in the air that can even be absorbed into the lines or tank, so it doesnt matter. i would assume some desert areas with almost 0 humidity would be the same. But the cracking of teh cheap plastic parts from alcohol based fuels...ok. I have had alcohol sitting in cheap $1 plastic container for years and it has not cracked... but wtf do i know?>

      Well smarty pants, there are a helluva lot of vehicles that are flex fuel compatible that are not badged that way. Look at your VIN engine code. they are the same. for a 2014 Cruze both are engine code G

    I use regular gasoline but I have P0178 code. Do I need to flex fuel sensor out still? Even while I’m using regular gasoline?

    • @Mattvardaman
      @Mattvardaman 3 роки тому +1

      Yes you need to fix that sensor. When that code sets, the engine management system will set to a default ethanol content, on my truck it’s 38%.

      @@MikeBeatzcom you’re welcome. The default of 38% wastes a massive amount of fuel, but saves the engine if you’re running flex.

    All vehicle can run on flex fuel 50/50, you can fill half a tank first with regular gasoline and than other with E85 , you don't need any special parts, it's all sales gimmick , I run my 2000 non flex truck on E85

    • @AlphaT2Delta
      @AlphaT2Delta 6 років тому +3

      Sam Bakshi if you have flex fuel car that means it does not matter whether you fill with regular gas or E85 fuel completely it will run fine but for all other non flex fuel cars you can fill half tank with E85 and the rest with regular gas it will run fine and save money
