There is no guarantee for a mohanlal (whose movies are repeated flops, except Neru) movie now a days, hence OTT keep waiting mohanlal in the case of thudarum. But for empuraan there is a huge hype, it is directed by prithviraj, and it's first part was also a success, hence OTT don't have any second thought in pre-release talks on it. Even Empuraan is also a flop in theatre, then that'll be the end of mohanlal's marketability and the L brand in the industry.
