- Today we build our first ever Haunted House in our backyard extending through our garage. This will be a multi day build and you could DIY everything for under $150-200 depending on props you put inside. I would also suggest asking for donations during Halloween to pay for cost and this will only upgrade your haunted house for the next year. This was a super fun experience and thank you to everyone who helped out.

Home Haunting is a lot of work and expensive but we do it to keep Halloween alive , great job by you and family, props to Pam for buying the props
Yes it is definitely an expensive hobby but we love to keep the spirit of Halloween alive !! Thanks for watching !
In my neighborhood every year there's this one house who makes there own haunted house in their backyard with lots of live actors and really good costumes + makeup! I go every year and they always change it up to make it even scarier, and they give out full size candy bars. 😋 Super cool and really scary!!
And I can't forget that they chase u with chainsaws in the haunted house too! 👀
I like the glowing masks that the kids had.
Thanks believe we got them at spirit !
I feel your wind frustrations, we always have heavy wind and more times than not, rain, during October here in the valley. But we must soldier on! I love watching and getting tips/inspiration from other haunters! 🧟♀
I have so many reasons to LIKE this video, it's a shame I can only give ONE LIKE 😎👏👍
I honestly tried researching how to make a haunted house and not many videos out there so i made my own. I hope it was entertaining and knowledgeable. Thanks for watching 🤘
This is wonderful. Your kids are adorable and are learning about construction and creativity.
Thank you! They are very interested in film and always volunteer for school announcements. Thanks for watching!
Done a haunted garage last two years. love the ideas.
Use palettes too. They work great for walls
That’s a good idea thanks for the feedback! We will definitely try that next build! Thanks for watching !!😊
Cool! I made one and it was really cool I had 3 rooms one was themed butcher one was enchanted haunted forest with jackolanters and scarecrows and trees and a Wearwolf anamtronic and the last room had a cemetery with ground found and skeletons and other stuff lol.
Awesome! I'm only year 3 of my builds, I found this inspirational! Thank you for sharing!
Cute kids! Great hobby! Congratulations!
Using side of your house as part of the passage was good. The thing I think could be improved was using windows there to add extra scares or props. Thanks for the video! 🙂
That’s a good idea!! Thanks for watching !
You did a great job with this! I'm sure the families in the community enjoyed it!
I realize this is a home haunt, but please check the flammability of the fabric. It needs to have an A rating, which means after holding an open flame on the material for 60 seconds and removing it, the material has to put itself out. Please also use heavier duty extension cords with a ground. Keep wiring overhead to remove trip hazards and all lights should be LED to keep heat to a minimum.
Have fun, but be safe!
This is really cool. Thanks for sharing
Great job brother, respect. Alot of kids will remember that for the rest of their lives. Ty u have a awesome family.
This is awsum and makes me more excited to make mine!
i have been doing pretty large home haunts for a bit now and i have to say that this is pretty nice! make sure that every year you up yourselves(possibly try jumpscare props like e-firecrackers)
I’m actually building one next year and it’s going to be a small tent maze and I loved the first room with wacky mole
Thank you! This was our first ever haunted house . Good luck on yours next year 🤡
that clowns legs XD!
😂😂
wood is expensive these days. I do something similar for my haunted walk through but use 1/2 inch PVC frames instead of wood. if you're placing it on ground you can hammer 4-foot rebar into the ground and place the PVC directly over it. I buy 10-foot PVC and run them into 1 piece of 6 foot and 1 of 4 foot. using 2 pieces of 10-foot i can get a PVC "frame" that is a 6 foot high, 4 foot wide rectangle. it's lighter-weight than wood and easier to "re-work" it if you decide to move a wall or change shapes. some folks use landscape fabric or plastic sheets to cover the frames. great video by the way. love the enthusiasm for halloween!
I came across your video I think yall did amazing work, good job. I had to watched it twice thx. Loved the balls and noodles look affect pretty cool.. peekaboo wud of been great in there and funzo well keep it up. Cant wait to see next month Halloween yall got ..
Thank you so much!! We really appreciate your comment we work hard to build something fun and scary for our community. Thanks for watching !
18:24 Wasn't exactly sure what I was looking at there for a minute.
Haha 😄 The camera was on a gimbal and hard to move up and down. Thanks for watching!
@@Carb-A-Ween Now every time you look at that prop you're going to think about what its one leg and feet look like. Cool haunt though.
Great job!
Thank you!! Thanks for watching and stay tuned
Hi I really enjoyed myself and I love the clown them

Anytime! Thanks for watching!
Great job guy's I borrowed some info thanks HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2022
Thanks for watching glad we could be some help!!
You guys are the best
thanks bro
really cool
Thanks for watching !!
Great job you inspired me to do a haunted house last year and this year it’s going to be better.can you tell me the measurements and size of your wall panels and what plastic you used 😊
Do those tents stand up well in wind? Think of getting one for next year, just don’t know because winds here in texas are extreme sometimes
The tents can withstand wind if they are anchored down. The tent comes with straps but I would always check the weather each day and take the covers off if needed. Good luck on your next Halloween project 🤘
@@Carb-A-Ween what’s the name of the tent I can’t find it on Amazon
Awesome
Thanks !
very nicely done ! thanks for sharing ! HFL!!
Thank you! And thanks for watching!
🤣 "as the night gets darker"
Nice work family...
Have a few members pop sacre the victims.
Thanks for watching!
Hi there. This is awesome. Where did you get the black plastic to put on the walls?
The plastic for the walls was the same material painters use but they sell clear and black. It can be found at Home Depot in paint aisle. Very cheap. Thanks for watching 🤘
Clown room great job
Thank you! And thanks for watching!
😮 how did you make that?
How do you know how many panels you need to buy?
Awesome haunt. First year looks great can't wait to see what you do very cool.
Thank you! And thanks for watching !
Can adults go trick or treating with kids to get some free candy about October 31st around the neighborhood, and can I use a plastic bags for Halloween candy of trick or treating.
Why is weed fabric best and not something like tarp?
Haha my logic was the wind. It was so air can pass through and not blow my whole structure down. Also I built in sections so I can disassemble later if a storm came.
Thanks for the reply. Really liked the video.
Can adults go trick or treating with 14 years old to get some free candy about October 31st around the neighborhood, and can I wear a costume accessories.
I'd be curious to see how those wood prices square up just a year later... Or 2 years later i suppose.
Nice build for a first time walk through, I'm sure you will come up with even better ideas for future ones. I also did my first haunted house walk through this year, you can check it out on my channel.
I left a comment on your video!! I have video of scaring trick or treaters coming soon. 😬
@@Carb-A-Ween oh thx! ill check it out :)
how did you put the balls on string
We used a large needle 🪡 usually used to sew very thick material . Thanks for watching!
Wow great job
I will say that this is amazing but next year unless you have a budget try to use some wood as walls then paint that it looks way better just saying 🤣
Have you seen the prices for lumber??? Inflation is real 🥲 ..but yes we plan to build better every year . Thanks for watching !
Black lights and different glow paint on the black plastic wall will work.
This is amazing!
Also, P.S. 18:24 I deadass thought was a giant inflatable penis for a second
no wheelchair access?
Strollers went thru so I’m assuming wheelchairs can too?
You say "uhhh" or "ummm" like every 3rd word
I know man! I suck talking to a tripod and camera 🙄 Thanks for watching 🤘
Great job!
Thanks for the visit!
