Looks fantastic! The stain is good to let it try 24 hour between coats and including the polycrylic also get a matte polycrylic if you don't want the sheen. Just scuff with 320 grit paper and dust off then apply a matte poly. You did an awesome job and it does looks way better white.
is it me or can you see all the individual brush strokes once the second coat was done? I think it looked more natural after the first coat without all the stoke marks
That looks Great !! I'm looking to do a distressed style shiplap & really haven't figured out the best products to use yet. I dont know if ppl use Chalk paint & then seal it with the wax stuff like they use on furniture.. still Researching that..
Hey! I actually want to white wash some knee walls in my sunroom. Wondering how it has held up now being a year later. How does the wall look and has the polycrylic changed the white colour (I'm Canadian) at all?
i really liked it with only one coat of paint! It looked sooooo good!!!
My daughter and I thought the first stain layer after it was wiped off was perfection! Thank you for the video tutorial!
Love how you fixed the darkness with a whitewash. great job!
Thank you! 😊

Hi, I was wondering if I already have a stained and protected stain over it, can I white wash with the varathane over the finish without sanding?
Sand first 😳

Did you decorate that wall afterwards?
You didn’t wipe the second coat off, it would have looked better before clear coat
Did you seal it with polycrylic before giving it a whitewash or just stained it and then whitewash?
By the way you did an amazing job its looks beautiful!
