Herkules Bergrennen 2024, Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe, Kassel

A 101 years old hillside "race“. From 1923-1927 one of the most beautiful and famous race tracks in Germany. All the famous German racing drivers took part in this race with their racing cars and motorcycles. Drivers such as Rudolf Caracciola, Karl Kappler, Adolf Rosenberger and Carl Jörns.
In the years 1951 to 1954 as a motorcycle race in front of 80,000 spectators.
Now a historic classic car race, a museum on wheels. The route no longer quite corresponds to the original route. The part that led directly through the UNESCO World Heritage Site Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe, e.g. past the Löwenburg, is no longer used today.
