The Dwarkadhish temple, also known as the Jagat Mandir and occasionally spelled Dwarakadheesh, is a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Krishna, who is worshiped here by the name Dwarkadhish, or 'King of Dwarka'.
बेट द्वारका (Beyt Dwarka) भारत के गुजरात राज्य के "द्वारका" जिले के किनारे स्थित द्वीप है यह द्वीप के ओखा शहर ( द्वारका जिला) के तट से 3 किमी दूर स्थित कच्छ की खाड़ी के मुहाने पर बसा हुआ है. यहीं पर एक साफ सुथरा शांत समुद्र तट है जिसे बेट द्वारका समुद्र तट ( Beyt Dwarka Beach) के नाम से जानते हैं
About The Place: A small island off the coast of Dwarka and accessed via Okha is home to the namesake temple, and supposedly the residence of Lord Krishna when he arrived here. The establishment of the temple is credited to Guru Vallabhacharya. Apart from the main temple, others in the complex commemorate Hanuman, Vishnu, Shiva, Lakshmi Narayan, Jambavati, Devi and others.Brief History: Bet Dwarka, also known as Shankhodhar, is said to have been the residence of Lord Krishna during his ruling years at Dwarka. It derived its name from the word ‘bet’ which translates to ‘gift’ and is believed that Lord Krishna received it from his friend Sudama. In the ancient epic, Mahabharata, Bet Dwarka is known by the name of ‘Antardvipa’ to which people of the Yadava clan needed to travel by boat. Explorations and excavations carried out under the sea have revealed the presence of settlements whose age can be traced back to the era of the Harappan civilisation and that of the Mauryan rule. In the later years, the region was under the administration of the Gaekwad clan of the state of Baroda. During the revolt of 1857, Vaghers attacked the region and captured it, but had to concede defeat in two years and return the region back to the Gaekwads. Best time to visit: The best time to visit is between November and February, and during Janmashtami which is celebrated with great fervour. Avoid evenings, as the boat connectivity can be sporadic and delayed.
From Dwarkadhish temple it took near about 45 mins to reach Bet Dwarka. Car parking is about 500-600 metres away from the boat. Take a rickshaw from the parking lot and charge Rs 10/-. Then walk about 50 metres towards the boat. Boat charges Rs. 20/- per person. You have to board the boat with your own ricks.
About 15-20 mins to reach the island. Then about 15-20mins of walking towards the temple.

4am-6 pm
Free Bhandara (lunch) at 1pm.
