Came through there for the first time in January, 1967, when we moved from Kansas City, KS, to Philly. I was in mid-fourth grade. Breezewood was a big motel hub back then. I didn't realize this tunnel closed shortly after. Live and learn! You crazy guys! Your moms will be mad!
I say this every time. These videos are SO good. How he describes the history of old buildings and bridges is brilliant. Incredibly educational and fun to watch. Those videos may last hours for me.. Aaaaaand my favorite Rob is the star of the show!!!! Thanks buddy. Awsome work!!
@@dronerob He sure does Rob, but please kick the shit out of him the next time he insults Dutch townnames will you... Butthole is NOT, and I say NOT a town in The Kingdom of The Netherlands 😂😂😂😂
@3:02 THANK YOU! I've been saying this for 2 decades. If you're confused or don't understand (because doctors just LOVE giving tetanus shots for just about everything), research where tetanus comes from. You might be surprised that it doesn't come from metal or rust
That opening dronie shot that started inside the tunnel was worth the price of admission alone. That was a pretty scary place, good thing you had Drone Rob and Mark with you. Sorry about the crash, but At least you didn’t loose any drones. Another great drone adventure, thanks for sharing Ken.
You fellas never cease to amaze us excitement at your finger tips. A crash is not a good way to start but then again y'all finished well with a BANG. Happy New Year an Keep on flying my friend's
I just saw this I just started this I drove through this tunnel as a kid no less than a hundred times easily we went through this tunnel so many times going to see relatives from Maryland to Pennsylvania and from Pennsylvania to Maryland oh this is going to be great❤
Love the thumbnail. Love the history research and the informative content as a result, that compliments your footage and content quite well! ANOTHER great video Ken! Always enjoy them. Thanks!
This guy is absolutely phenomenal. I wish he was my dad. God Tim if he was my dad I’d be absolutely enough. He could be my dad. I don’t know. I hope he is. But anyway enough with the dad stuff. This guy is absolutely phenomenal and I enjoy his content. He should be on TV or something like that.
Awesome video! I visited and walked though Ray's Hill tunnel in 2018, the two things that surprised me was even though you can see the light at the other end, once you get inside a few hundred feet it's DARK in there! About a half mile long! In 2022 I went and biked the sideling hill tunnel and at about 1.75 miles long you can't even see the light at the other end when you start!
Well done informative video. You taught me some things I hadn't known about and I've been there five times between 2013 to 2019. I didn't know about the de icing equipment up top in the shaft above the tunnel. My favorite tunnel is Sideling Hill. I always park on the opposite end from Breezewood so I'm only about a mile from Sideling Hill Tunnel and I also get to walk into the old Cove Valley Service Plaza parking lot on the way to the tunnel.
Man, I don't think they build concrete structures like that any longer - and the giant fan structures look like they are still in great condition! Lots of rivets. Very cool. Watching your Avata flying through the tunnel was really stressful! Good planning to have your buddy waiting on the other side other side. Happy New Year to you, Ken!
Just looked at the Flashlight. For $399 US or $10,000CA🤣 it better come with its own drone to fly it in front of you. Loved the video tonight. 🤙🏼🇨🇦 Keep Up the awesome content.
Ken do the goggles 2 fit your face as good as the goggles v2? Also is there a good face pad for the goggles 2 that makes them better then the stock face pad our foom?
I should probably get one of those shirts........a damn tree took out my new Mavic 3T, just jumped out of the dark without warning when I was doing some testing on my own property :D Thank God for DJI Care Refresh and some great customerservice by the Dutch helpdesk in Europe :D That was a nervewrecking flight down that tunnel, but an awesome sequence to watch now.
@@KenHeron Yup, the most annoying thing is that I flew that part during daytime, so I knew that I had to be careful. However I flew roughly a foot higher and that caused one single branch to clip the rotor and down she went :) Used the Care Express as those thermal cameras can be damaged internally without any visible damage.
Can you suggest a Tablet mount for a Mini 4 pro with the Rc-n2 controller? My iPhone connector is broke so I have to use a iPad tablet but need a good mount for it. Ps great video! Gotta hit some big caves with the drones.
Great job Ken! Wow there were a lot of yellow dick roads there. It’s cool that you included some history with this video. Thanks for sharing, God bless and Happy New Year
Hey ken hows it going. Hey o have a few questions and would love your help, i just bought a p4p v2 and its flying teally weird the camera floats and spazes out when i yaw. I calibrated everything sensors camera compass n its still flying really weird since your king of phantoms i really can use your help to get this beast flying as it should. Thanks in advance ken
Hey! Without seeing it I would guess that it's probably a compass issue. Try flying it in ATTI mode. If there's no change, that means that it could be the GPS. Make sure that you have the latest firmware and that you are using OEM batteries. Email me if that doesn't help. kenheronupload@gmail.com Good luck!
I want to reiterate a comment I commented to. The history of some of the places you fly, help make the videos very interesting. Sometimes I do further research on the places. I have convinced myself that NW Louisiana is not very interesting. I need to get out more.🤦
Wow that’s awesome!! Now someone please explain how this can be done? There is no way you have satellite through all that concrete and dirt. My Avada will not allow me to fly in my basement of my home. I’m so confused. Can someone explain to me what’s going on?
@@KenHeron sure enough. I updated firmware and flew down in my basement no problems. Ken, I have the Integra goggles with the Avada. How often do you think I should plug my goggles in to check for firmware updates?

@KenHeron One of my favorite movies had a scene shot in that tunnel and the name of the movie is ( The Road ) you should check it out sometime!!
That abandoned tunnel is interesting and it's dope you were able to fly around in there! Also that voice at the end was creepy 😨

Oh you're lucky.

we threw a rave at the end of that tunnel in like 2001 called "rave in a cave." was a great time! :D
