Gerry has another huge bag of miniatures from Victrix. And this time it's a bunch of Germanic Warriors for your historical wargames!
Despite the odd assembly instructions, there's a great amount of variety in these sets. Though there is the danger of some breakage due to being transported in bags the miniatures themselves pristine and as close to flawless as you might get.
What games would you love to play with these Germanic Warriors?

Surprisingly, they wok wonders for Welsh, Picts, or other Briton style factions. I just bought some with all the javelin options to make SAGA Welsh.
Absolutely beautiful models and great review. Thanks for the video
I know it would be a logistics nightmare but I wish some of companies would make a variety box available. Something like 5 different factions each with a few miniatures in one box so you can test what you like to paint and assemble. I'd gladly pay a bit extra for the same number of models if it had larger range of poses and units to test.
Why did you glue the shields on sideways lol. Roman scutums have horizontal center grips and these dudes were copying them. Good on victrix for actually having the shield arms representing that!
FIerce and great looking Germans!
Victrix are trying to get the dynamic seamless join of monopose whilst still retaining the configurability of the multipose.
It truly is amazing what products are out there besides GW , that’s a small army in a bag for £40 amazing 🤩
Can't wait to get my own victrix (soon, just need to clear out a few projects from the painting queue first). Any chance of you taking a look at one of their celtic/gallic kits?
@Gerry mcCabe Even the attempt would be greatly appreciated. Might prevent me from buying a horde... or, more likely, getting an even larger one, if I know myself ;)
Nice looking German miniatures, sort of a pain to assemble but worth the price point
Love the models, hate the assembly instructions.
the shields are glued incorrectly, they cannot hold it like that because the fastening is longitudinal and not transverse
how is it that you get 30+ figures for around $40...quality figures and Games Workshop has the audacity to charge $50 bucks for five or 10 figures...ridiculous
I am completely torn between getting these or the vikings. The former would go perfectly with my existing collection of celts and romans, but the latter look like they might just be the nicest historical miniatures in all the realms.
instructions by IKEA
Why does someone keep rustling a bag in the background?
I have there imperial Romans best plastic Romans I've seen.
I DONT BOTHER WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS LOL
Wash the damn sprues before you try to assembling and priming. Save you a lot of grief.
what glue do you use?
neato like em a look in to see as post new
The prices of victrix is a little high but plastics have good details as we all know but why cant they victrix pack these in a nice boxes for us to keep,,its fustrating,,other companies all have boxes
Victrix used to box their figures. Cost cutting (?).
Victrix need to work out a better way to deal with the seams that run across the hair. It's an obvious ridge that is very hard to clean up. Even worse on the Celtic warrior heads.
Is this 1:72 scale?
“28mm” - measured from bottom of foot to the eye (1/72 is around 20mm) - these are closer to 1/50 scale (some try to claim 1/56 but they are too big for that).
Can we call this really an unBOXing? It's only a bag ;)
ha ha ha ha ha ahaa a hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
