Just watching this again. The first few parts are hard to watch as Christine, the female presenter, really doesn't like Morrissey at the start. But at the end in this clip, she is really laughing and enjoying his company tremendously. I really hope they all went to a pub afterwards.
It may appear to some that Morrissey is socially awkward. And whilst he certainly comes across as quite humourless, he really shows up the fake nonsense we get on chat shows. It's a dry, Northern humour that exposes the bland, fake smile TV we have nowadays.
I completely agree. Apart from the northern part. I don't think both a dry sense of humour or a reluctance to subscribe to societies sickeningly false and forced attitude is specific to a certain part of the country. You are right though. His subdued and "awkward" manner does without doubt expose how phony and grotesquely vile shows like The One Show are.
