Tim Booth is one of the very few singers who's persona is the same both on and off stage, he speaks with the same eloquence in interviews as he does on record, he's pure!
Tim’s humility, gift of gab and sincerity which is very uncommon to singers now much less to a lead is surprising. Imagine 40 years in the business and still appreciates the simplest things. Thank you for the music, Tim. Know that many of us old and 40s and above know what real beautiful music is and yours is one of them.
What a down to earth genuine bloke. Grew up on this band and I have alot of fond memories. THERES NOTHING TO SAY I GET IN THE WAY STILL UNABLE TO BREAK OBSESSION
A tremendously talented band that has given so many joy and even strength over the decades. They don’t openly (just look at their lyrics) wear their humanity on their sleeves but boy do we get it! Long May they write and contribute to a little more healing.
Great band, followed them from there start in 83/84, albums such as Stutter and Strip mine are classics, but unfortunately missed by so many who followed James in their later more pop centric guise.
Love James always have since I was Young pup seen them in men in Manchester when I was 15 he speaks so well A gentleman Sad story about that song I've never heard that song will after this video so many family's went through hell with this Hell (Covid) so happy my family as lost no one so far but sorry and love to those who have but keep it up James love it
The shape of Tim's skull really picked the ball back up when his hair follicles dropped the ball. I think every man worries about losing their hair, unless you can look as cool as this haha.
Tim is one of those people who makes the world better.
I saw him last week in Chicago. He is an awesome singer. The band awesome. Can’t wait to see them again.

Yes stand against racism or kneel do whatever you must to oppose racism it’s not political, Tim is so right it’s about humanity and equality.
That BBC Breakfast set, the red sofa and the backdrop etc, literally hasn't changed in about 15 years!
We will paint it grey for you!?!
30 years my favourite band. ❤
Been waiting for this
#loveistheanswer I was blessed to meet you personally...shaking because I heard you guys since I was 14yrs old.
Wonderful album
Un tipo muy sencillo para conducirse en la vida . Nunca lo he visto con ropa cara ni joyas o algo así .
“Just Like Fred Astaire “ TUNE ❤️⭐️👏🎼
Nice one 🏴👍. Ring the Bells 🎶
Poor Tim when the presenters seem to think that Recover is the first difficult song for Tim to sing. They were very politely corrected
"old and ugly" Tim said...No way ...So much beautiful you are right now...your mind your words your music...Kisses from Portugal...
Tim booth legend so many hits james had back in the day
And their new stuff is amazing they are a band that transcend the charts of popular music
Is the power of love worth the pain of loss ?
What a nice bloke.
Album is very electric/pandemic, made in a home study.
Personally, I prefer songs of old, but still love James.
Exceptional album.
this album is class
Love James 💗
Legend
The 'threesome' comment is absolutely gold! Top humour! 🤣🤣🤣
Tim is right - trying to get tickets for their gigs is a nightmare
This guy does NOT age!

What a gent
Man's a genius
A day at a time tim
I love James
Some people are on a different level than most.
An earwig crawled into my ear. Made a meal of wax and hair…….
The shape of Tim's skull really picked the ball back up when his hair follicles dropped the ball. I think every man worries about losing their hair, unless you can look as cool as this haha.
This is one of Tim's better interviews, thanks for sharing. Also does he have Ben Kingsley posters on his bedroom walls?
In Braga
In 1989, the 'eloquent' Tim Booth got into a hard fight with his own drummer on stage, so that one of them had to leave the band ... ;)
Never heard that before
@@barra38 Gavin Whelan was the drummer back then.... Last I heard he was driving a taxi.
@@raydavies7892 I'm hopefully going to meet the man him self this night week Dublin 2021, I'm waiting a long tíme for this,
Portugal Second home
He looks like the “Mekong”
Top bloke
He looks good for 50
He looks even better for 62!
@@jamesfanzone1982 who’s 62 ?
@@HuntermoodyTim Booth is 63 years old.
Saw 'JAMES' on sat night in Edinburgh.
Didn't think Tim was so woke!
Trump 2024 🏴🇺🇲❤️
Tawt, tell us your stupid
Yeh one of the nice blokes ,pity he turned into right said Fred 😳
What, Tim? He most certainly hasn't! Only on the hairless front, deffo not politically!
WAH WAH and Laid....Best body of work
BBC breakfast is terrible
1982 when they formed.First time i`ve ever seen James interviewed. They are quite good, not brilliant but ok.
Brilliant except.......... for Dan the man
At 6.50 he's talking pure sh#te..Needs to get up on his facts...but after all this is the BBC.🤔
Tim talks a lot of sh**, love his music, but sadly he is misled and ill-informed
An amazing in a superb band but far to left-wing with his politics but nice to see that even the liberals recognise that Biden is a fascist.
His politics are spot on
trump is not a racist get that fact right ur does he means biden
This dude looks really good for being as old as he is and being in the music business for so long.
