What a difference. As a plumber it's, $#!! goes down hill and, pay day is Friday. It must be really a a bit of a roller coaster ride with art. Keep up the great work!

Hey Matt thanks for the vid. Good information as always. I bought myself a canon printer and do most of my printing, unless it’s a large print which I outsource. I would say that the commerce side along with printing is a deep learning curve that I really was not expecting but I have a better handle on it now. When I first started and outsourced my printing I had a difficult time of getting the prints to match what I was seeing on the computer screen, especially Milky Way photography. Good thoughts to you and your family.
Hey Matt, I’m new to your channel and can’t wait to view your other videos. I’m just considering starting to print my own images. It’s pretty intimidating. Picking a printer, size, pixels for the images, etc. maybe a video for us newbies?
you know, you made this video at the perfect time. I had 3 people in the last 2 weeks ask if I sold my photos and I have been considering it now and you made this video at the perfect time. I think my photos are ok but never thought print worthy till my general doctor asked for a print of one of my photos, should I tell him what I paid and let him determine my value as a 1st customer? After that, I may get a few different prints and rent a space at my local farmers market to advertise my self.
@ that is an excellent question. Once one or more prints are complete, I do a visual review and signing of the print at the business where the print is being done. Takes a few minutes and then they ship them. If I print on metal, acrylic, or any type of print that I wouldn’t be able to sign with a fine art pen, I will digitally sign the image file before it has been printed. This could work too for paper prints if I am out of country.
@@MattShannonPhoto That's what I thought! I had only sales in Vancouver, so picking up the print and then delivering myself was easy. Thanks for the info and your time Matt
The income from selling prints as a photographer can vary widely depending on various factors such as the photographer's level of skill and experience, the demand for their work, their marketing efforts, the pricing of their prints, and the platforms they use for selling. It's difficult to provide a specific figure as it can range from very little to substantial amounts. Some photographers may earn a few hundred dollars per month, while others may earn thousands or more. Just before Christmas you can earn a lot if you product, pricing and marketing is really good. I hope that helps

Plumber? I hardly know her!
You're absolutely right, the journey in the world of art can indeed feel like a roller coaster at times.

Matt, do you put your water mark on sold photos?
No I do not, but I do sign my images with a fine art pen. Thank you for your question.
@@MattShannonPhoto How do you manage to sign on them if you get the printing company to directly send your images? cheers

Very cool. Do the tubes come flat or tubed?
They come tubed 🙂. They also comes with a plastic cap for both ends.
Do you find that wildlife images sell more than landscape?
I sell my landscape then wildlife. Almost a 5:1 ratio.
Excellent content.
Thank you very much! Cheers
Tell me aboat it
Shopify is fairly expensive if you were to use it for photography art. Unless you are selling a lot of work it might be worth it.
How many earn money in 1 month ❤❤❤
