Mega Man X6: Infinity Mijinions Stage- No Damage, Buster Only

- Infinity Mijinion's stage, the Weapon Center, from Mega Man X6 for the Sony Playstation PSX. No damage taken, buster only speed run.
At the beginning of the stage, X will encounter Illumina, a massive reploid created by Infinity Minjion that apparently has gone Nightmare. It will continuously spam balls of flame at X's current position. The hit detection on these is rather forgiving and will only damage X for the brief moment that they are in the foreground. Illumina also has a secondary attack that it seems to switch to at random. It will deploy three pods that will fire streams of energy that intersect at X's exact location- if scanned by Illumina's laser. Note the scanning laser will generally not lock onto X while in mid-air. And only the precise point at which they intersect causes damage.
We must also destroy two large cables which act as sub-bosses throughout the course of the stage. During the second encounter, Illumina dispatches lasers along the sides of both walls that also seem to fire at random. These lasers will move out and engage slightly before firing, therefore presenting you with a moment to act accordingly by most likely either ducking or wall-climbing to evade them. The large metal blocks, called Nightmare Iron, are the result of clearing Metal Shark Player's stage. They can only be destroyed using the Metal Anchor/Rakukojin.
Infinity Minijion will clone himself several times and produce bubbles that continuously track X. Though his clones and the bubbles can be destroyed, they require a ton of damage before doing so, and I find it only necessary to take out the bubbles. Too many of them will quickly fill the screen and offer very little room for maneuvering. It's quite easy to get trapped in a corner. Try wall-climbing and leading them to the upper portion of the room. Then, fall to the ground and take advantage of the cleared space before they return. Repeat. Keep in mind only the original Infinity Minijion can be damaged. It can be difficult to keep track of him, however he will generally teleport or hover around the room, while his clones stay anchored. Much like the stage itself, constantly moving is key to your survival during this encounter. Infinity Minijion's weakness is the Guard Shell or Yammar Option.

When I first played this game, I knew this level was going to be awesome when it starts off with a giant reploid, who looks like Megatron, tries destroying you.
I think its more like unicron. But the buckethead looks like megatron

Anybody with mediocre coordination can play through this with Zero damage, but to do this with X!!!!!!!!! You would truly have to be the ULTIMATE MAVERIC HUNTER. No wonder X always beats Zero in the cannon story.
Even Zero in Mega Man Zero knew that Copy X is nowhere near as powerful as the real X even though he remembered nothing about his past during the X Series.

so true. yea this stage frustrated me, to say the least. but that seems to be the norm for these X6 stages...just irritating lol. here i felt like i was almost panicking and scrambling the entire stage. then you get to mijinion and he's no different...dealing with him is just as chaotic!

I mean wow the way you dodged all of Illumina`s attacks like that was just amazing that must have took tons of practice to do! and X takes so long to kill it without any power or abilities which is the very reason I pick Zero on this stage for as to destroy it faster without getting hit too much... But you... you dodged like a boss.You also made quick work of Infinity Minjion and avoided his tricky shots rather fast.

Yeah, buster only with the ultimate armor. than again i've played this game myself and I know that if I tried to beat this game with only basic X i would drive myself insane. Still good run.
thanks. and regarding the ultimate armor- im only using it for its hover ability, which ive grown to use quite effectively from X4 and X5. im not utilizing the giga attack, or even the saber for that matter, unless forced. i realize the plasma shot gives me an added advantage, however it is infact still considered buster only. my intention was to use whatever armor had the hover ability, regardless of other capabilities.
Fair enough, that hover ability was a godsend from what I've seen. Again, good run.
The plasma shot definitely gives a major advantage over the other armors full charged shots.
Never mind that apparently Falcon got so damaged it's shot cant pierce shit anymore.
But, still, the main thing for a no hit run is the hover.

Dude, the game is pretty easy, I beat this game multiple times using unarmored X on extreme mode to the point where I started challenging myself to do it without any parts equipped, honestly I think x8 was more challenging than this.
@Narnia Games I don't, specifically for that part of the game, I use hyper dash, literally it is impossible to pass the first gate stage without jumper and the second one without hyper dash.
Illumina sounds like the Illuminati triangle that he uses to attack X.

Japoneses po' jajaja igual no es tan difícil esta etapa, yo logré pasarla con X sin armas ni armaduras en modo normal e incluso Mijinion no es tan complicado si combates calmadamente, ahora... con X base en modo difícil sí es una experiencia de la mierda por no decir imposible (incluso con Zero es una tortura inolvidable)

The hardest boss in the x series. Not the stage.
Words cannot describe how mad of a lad you would be if you did this with Normal X.
Of course you need the strongest Armor with x4 ability. Otherwise, doing this with armorless X with no damange at xtreme difficulty is a nightmare. Classic x6

If you want to destroy Illumina quickly, try using a full power/charge of Yammar Option. In addition, try to shoot her cables in a point blank range.

I literally spent so much time beating this boss on Xtreme mode. This boss fight was hard as fuck. It took me almost 20 game overs but I finally won with Zero.

That's actually a rare statement I could find. Almost 99.9% of the people straight calling x6 bosses as objectively garbage and blame their sufferings to the boss instead of saying I have a bad skill issue.
Regardless. X6 bosses are notorious for their hard to dodge but non lethal attacks.
