I think the answer is very simple: Pip was trying to complete OC but got frustrated, then Weabo got a hold of her sketch book and got it covered in mud and partially damaged OC’s page, Pip then washed the mud off, and finally in defeat she ripped out OC’s page. In conclusion the murderer (technically speaking) was none other than Pip herself.
My favourite joke was the Woody and Buzz reference, because it is not so in your face, it’s like “If you noticed the dolls, then you get the joke”, it’s subtle.
Imo, this series will go through 4 episodes going over every "route", with prime suspect being someone different episode. This will probably go through this order: sousuke, adventure person, princess and the detective. If I were too guess, I don't think there will be anyone that actually murdered, and it will turn out that the little girl, pip, actually tore off the OC's page either to put it on the fridge, or she was too frustrated to finish drawing the other hand

You know, this reminds me of a "The Amazing World of Gumball" episode, "The Mystery". What if the CAUSE of OC's murder is one WHOLE heap of combination of the other theories I see in tbe comments? The dog, the mud (possibly due to bullies messing with her work), and the water (seeing if she could wash it off). The page ripping could be a sign that Pip really tried to redo it, but decided to scrap the entire idea.
My theory is that the artist noticed they forgot to draw the arm so they just ripped out the paper and went on with their day which I think would make a great contrast to the thoughts and feelings of Pip’s drawings and of Pip herself

I do feel like maybe the dog had something to do with it, but Pip’s line of “thanks for being my friends again today” really stuck out to me because of the word choice. As someone who was bullied in sixth grade, my sketchbook had my only friends at the time. So, here’s what I think happened: Pip was probably bullied, got mud on some of the pages but also had the dog mess up some of it and OC’s page was the most damaged. Maybe Pip hasn’t redrawn the page yet and THATS why it’s torn out. Because it seems to be the only page torn like that. Every every page besides the one that. OC was on was perfectly fine and my torn except OC’s page. It’s an interesting mystery.

This whole pilot was so endearing, it definitely resonated with my preteen self trying to draw every single character under the sun while creating mine, it’s a beautiful ode to artists who grew drawing out of pure passion 🙂↕️

my theory is a bit sad, but what if it wasn't anyone but a character not introduced yet like a bully or sibling. it could generally be someone who was picking on Pip who threw her book into the mud and ripped the page out and the dog saw the screwed up page after Pip picked it up seeing it was completely ruined and throwing it away the dog saw the screwed up page and chewed it up further..... it's common for that sort of behavior towards young artists who tend to be introverted and draw and other kids see it as weird even though it's normal to be creative. that's my theory.
Great video! It make senses to have all of the characters in the same style as that's what most artist tend to, drawing in their own style to be consistent and easier! That's just my interpretation of it.
I super enjoyed the art of murder!! I remember seeing animation WIP on their tiktok and stuff a few years back. It's so cool they finally finished it! The animation is really great and hits so close to home. Makes me feel like I'm back in elementary school drawing so much then falling asleep on my desk over my sketchbook. I remember not being sure what the cartoon was about when it was presented out of context. Thought it was a gumballl type thing but what it turned out to be is sooo good! Also Sosuke is hilarious. Holy shit that would make so much sense why would the show focus on them otherwise there important to the mystery and that joke about toy story would actually be relevant.

A plot twist could be that OC wandered off out of the sketchbook and the dog just ripped up the paper, not oc.

And cries over her note book where Winn got wet Winn mentioned that the water tastes like disappointment so she was crying because she ripped OC and she felt like a failure then she threw the paper in the trash OC was ripped out and wet meaning she couldn't fix him then her dog was finished digging in the mud and was getting stuff in the trash bin, found OC and grabbed the paper Pip saw what her dog was doing and she was tugging on the paper but it ripped into more pieces with the dog finally completely destroying OC which is sad because he's my favorite character. Recap OC tried to kill himself but knocked himself into a coma Pip was frustrated and ripped and threw OC in the trash she was crying the dog was digging in the trash found OC Pip was trying to get OC back but it was too late the dog completely destroyed OC and tried to get the note book getting that Amine character full of mud.
