Heard about Vanuatu for the first time when my company's partner proposed that we start promoting Vanuatu's "Citizenship Investment". At first I thought the idea of selling citizenship of a faraway island is unheard of and nobody would be interested. Realized later that if they're putting citizenship up for sale, that means anyone with huge funds can eventually buy and own a lot of property there despite never going there in person. The islanders who live a simple life will be more and more constrained if this get out of hand.
It is very sad that they country is going in to the hands of another nation which will steel their identity and their lands of this peaceful loving people. I strongly protest that no nations should take over this beautiful country. Let them live their way of life. I wish the people of Vanuatu all best.
Im so sad to watch this. The vanuatu people are the nicest people on earth. My husband and I got married in vanuatu in 2017 in Port villa and went back to visit again in January 2020 for our anniversary because we loved their country and way of life so much. The changes the country has endured in that time is crazy and also so sad. I hope the leaders put an end to it and let the vanuatu people live as they have always lived.
