I love this video, thank you for going through the trouble to make it. Gotta tell you though, there are some "hidden" kits you missed. The factory expansion packs have about ten kits that aren't "installed". If you go to the "expansion" button on the V71, you can install the missing kits manually. There are two really nice "UK" kits and a bunch of world/techno/etc kits that aren't installed as presets unless you do it yourself. Maybe something to add if you do a demo video of some of the Roland Cloud kits (DW 50th, Singerland, etc.)
The sounds may be better, but they still have that Roland sound. Although I think the Roland e-kit is good, I do think other e-kit manufacturers do heave much better accustic stage and studio sounds.
I really like the Alesis Strata Pro. For the price you get a lot of things and they sound very good to me. And when somebody dont like the factory kits then there are always vst's. For me at the moment the strata prime is the best thing you get on the Market For that price
@@ianmcnamee1652 Thanks for the info. I currently use a td-25 and consider upgrading to the v51 when it eventually releases, mainly for the features. (More IO, sound customization, color screen and digital pad support) But to justify the upgrade it has to sound a lot better too...
Thanks a lot Drum Tec! In my opinion these kits are definitely a step up from before. However, I personally don't think its worth it for me. I use Steven Slate Drums with my VAD 504 and am really happy with the results. VST libraries are still killing modules to me. Some of these kits do sound good though.
@@kentadamson6992 Agreed, I was disappointed that the v71 is only a minor upgrade over the last gen. I really hoped Roland was finally going with a more raw VST sound like the competitors. Well I guess i'll keep on to my money for another generation I guess...
@@ianmcnamee1652yeah, they have a great selection but they are more specialized in the hardcore rock and extreme metal genres, though they do have a bit of variety in their “total studio” drum vst. I got all of the drum vst they make for $70 around Black Friday
these sound better than the 50x. id' prolly still get sick of certain cymbal or tom samples after 6 months. such is the case with all modules and vst's. 4 me anyway
I have to strongly disagree. I remember kits from 2 decades ago… they were absolute garbage compared to today. Technologically? It’s probably mostly the same. But the sound quality has come a long way. It’s just been insanely slow.
It's really great to see that apparently every employee at DrumTec can play the drums. That builds trust in the company!
From drummers for drummers!

Like seeing the different skill levels being demo’d here. You really get a sense for how the kit might sound under most people’s playing ability.

The ExpansionKits are sounding soo much better.
Yep.👍
Nice video, how do you think the v71 compares to the previous gen modules sound-wise?
To me it is only a minor upgrade.

For real, I bought Ugritones entire library and it’s killer, loads of super raw drum samples for a comparatively cheap price to superior drummer
@EvilSewnit i agree completely!

Does anyone know if I can put sounds from the tm6 pro obto this or are they available as an expansion pack? Thanks

Dear staff from Drumtec, best wishes for 2025 !
would you shoot a video about the new update sounds of the Yamaha drum modules version 2.0?
Sold electronic kits for decades, they have not come very far in sounds. They all sound very lacking in variation of timbre and dynamic.

They still don't sound good to me. Mimic, EfNote....... way better
