I think Benjamin Franklin once said “eat to live, but don’t live to eat”. Same shit with fapping. You’re a normal mammal that gets horny, being horny makes it hard to focused. Stop pretending to be above it, find an appropriate time to get it out of your system, and move on. Kinks and stuff are just little shortcuts on how you specifically get there faster. But if you’re reconstructing your whole lifestyle and identity around it, and it’s not something significant like what kind of romantic partner you can be with or your sense of gender/role in society, then you need to dial it back.
But I think a lot of these people already know that and think they can get off to the self-humiliation aspect they perceive from it. So really the best response is to tell people “ okay” and “if you keep doing that I’m going to have to ask you to leave”.

It's about all the same things I experienced being an early alcoholic really, the whole gooning thing. You're not even really there for the act at a certain point and you're more just trying to forget that you're even a living being. Like trying to come as close to dead as one can be without actually being such. It's nothing new, nothing really all that game changing in the whole scheme of unhealthy ways of coping with the reality around you. Alcohol is a lot more consistently expensive though I'm pretty sure.
