Thanks for the video. A common thing to forget with new Jeep owners is when they lift their jeep they need to re-aim their headlights lower or oncoming drivers will be blinded. If the jeep is lifted 2 inches, then headlights sit 2 inches higher which is why people are flashing you.

Overall pretty informative video but i have some comments 1) the tail lights you compare them to are the stock JK, not JL which are pretty blah 2)Headlights: I think they could easily be upgraded for a fraction of that cost. (500$ for all ) 3) all JLs come with backup cameras as it's a federal requirement. Granted the standard one comes with a smaller screen and no park sensors
Speaking of ankle strain, I believe a "dead pedal" is a must have for any automatic. I think I agreed or at least saw the point of all your selections EXCEPT for the dual-door group. These are in huge demand and none of the aftermarket half doors have the same fit and finish. I genuinely believe they're good for three-seasons worth of driving and the solid doors are something I'd only really want on for winter.
with a lift kit and bigger tires you might need to lower your headlights (how they are aimed), especially the driver's side since the beam cutoff pattern is probably right at eyelevel for oncoming sedans.
I didn't opt for either of the safety groups. Adaptive cruise is nice, but you have to add two options groups to get it. You also get a few groups (lights etc) on the 4xe that you pay extra for on the standard Rubicon.
Definitely recommend buying the OEM Bar doors (not the same thing as the half doors) and also Carolina metal masters’ mirrors (for when you go door-less)
Not a bad ride. I take my JL with two doors, a clutch and non paint matched top or bumpers. No leather for me but definitely cold weather. Sting Gray with the black freedom top and fenders looks good.
I have a 2021 JL Unlimited Rubicon with the 3.6L V6 and the manual transmission. It has leather seats, the upgraded entertainment system, and the gorilla glass windshield. Everything else is bare bones. I did not custom order it, I picked a new one up at a dealership. 1. The upgraded entertainment system is absolutely worth it. I love it and I use it everyday. 2. The leather seats are only worth it if you plan on either swapping your seats out or putting seat covers on. People complain about Wrangler seats, but I have no problem with them, and the dealer took these off the price, so I'm happy. 3. The windshield is currently in pristine condition, so I have no complaints, but I also have nothing with which to compare it. 4. I really would have like the trailer tow package, and upgrading it to this after the fact is in my plans, but it will be much more of a pain in the ass and probably more expensive, so definitely opt in to the trailer tow package if you can. 5. I'm sure the LED light package is great, but the aftermarket KC Hilites headlight swap is cheaper and amazing, so I am okay with not having gotten this one. If you do not get it though, you will want to swap them, as the stock halogen lights fucking suck. 6. The steel bumpers are something I also which I got. The plastic rear bumper sucks and the front one does not allow for a winch, so getting the steel bumper upgrades is a must unless you have your own aftermarket ones that you want to add on yourself. 7. The top is up to you. I will never take the top off, so I have the hardtop. My hardtop is black, as are my fenders (on a red jeep), not painted, which is what I like. 8. I don't have any of the safety sensor things, and I have never felt like I need them or would use them. I like being in full control over my car, but I seem to be in the minority of people on this, as most people I know love cruise control and shit like that when driving. 9. I don't have the front facing camera, and I imagine that that would have been nice when parallel parking in a tight space or when off roading. 10. The hinge gate reinforcement is necessary only if you plan on getting like 37 inch or bigger tires. If you keep the stock tires, then don't bother.
Great review… Thanks! I think I would have opted for the leather because it’s so wearable and if you take care of it, it’ll last forever… Just like a good bridal and saddle used for horses. When it gets dirty, you wipe it down and it’s good as new… The occasional leather treatment as well.
I agree. Based on this video i started out with cloth. Then after cleaning my current trailblazer that has cloth seats lots of dog hair and odor. Took forever. But if had leather seats in would have just wiped it off and all is good. So i chose the leather option.

I like the channel and this is an observation though. If other drivers are flicking their high beams, they may be at least somewhat blinded and not feeling safe driving which could also make your situation less safe. A vehicle that rides high with very bright headlights can be difficult for oncoming traffic. I was going to put LEDs into my early bronco and noticed that I was blinded with what other guys had done. One driver blinded could be bad for everybody so it's something to take into account. Lots of articles/petitions on this recently. Still dig the channel and keep the content coming.
I have a 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, I added redline tuning hood struts. Eliminates the hood prop. I’m going to put on bodyguard RT stubby front bumper & rear full sized. Might add their fender kit & light pillars. Rockslide engineering side steps, possibly add their guards. 37” tires & hard rock rims. SPOD lights & accessory control center. I’m going have some paint work done on front the front trim, next week.
I added "Hot Heads" head liners. They are less than the factory ones and way better for keeping the heat out, less noise and makes the music sound better.
It a beautiful build. I have the 2021 Willys pretty much loaded with the sky touch roof. My wife has a 2020 with the 3 price hard top so we have the best of both worlds! So we have experienced both. My 2021 has the Alpine and blows away the factory 2020 my wife has. I had to add a sub for her. Good luck.
Neither of my 2 YJ’s had a black top (1 white/1 Sand). But from what other owners have told me, is that the Black top can be rather hot during peak sunny Summer months (if on... a/c can’t keep up on high/stifling hot if sitting etc. ). Still if the Jeep were Black... it definitely needs a Black top. Great idea for a video, Guys! Thanks.
Yeah but the LED brightness isn't so safe for other drivers. I can say from experience. You might think it's so good to have those bright lights but it's a hazardous distraction to other drivers. Other people shining their high beams at you to signal to turn yours off isn't a good thing. So yes LED lights are great. They're brighter. I hate them when I'm not using them. That's all. 👍
Be careful with LED lights on raised car. Ive seen some cars that got blinded with them and crashed into the cars that had them. It can be so bad it wipes out the other drivers Vision of the road.
What is funny is that our 2021 Jeep Gladiator Ecodiesel Sport S came with painted fenders at no additional price, but when you move up to the Rubicon it cost extra for the painted fenders.
If you compare the LED tail lamps to halogen tail lamps, you should compare the same model. You showed a JK and if I’m not mistaken those were aftermarket cheap LEDs. Also, it is not a truck, it is not a car, it is a Jeep. Call it what it is, a Jeep.

@@jemmrich Welcome, I just placed my order last two weeks ago. I got nervous and called after you said that and the manager confirmed it was ok. He said to even confirm just go on jeep(.)com and just try building a custom jeep. The system is designed to make modifications if something is not compatible or will add something if needed. I tried and seemed to work there. The only thing I wish I would have added is the tow package.
One option i got that in really happy with is the 5 position transfer case not sire how much it was but it was expensive it give 4 auto so living in Canada its wonderful in the winter it upgrade my axels as well

It's good you bought those safety features, and another benefit to the Tow Package aside from a larger Alternator is the Tow Bar actually stiffens the subframe, kind of like a subframe connector. Great content, and will be looking forward to the next automotive detail 👦🏻👍🏻💥🏎🏁🏆
@@BlackGT1999 I said act like a Subframe connector, which convertibles require to stiffen the the vehicle. the Tow Bar adds strength to the frame keeping it from flexing
Looking at a Rubicon with additional features, pretty much what y’all have. In Tennessee do I need the cold weather option & block warmer? My first jeep I’ve wanted for 29+ years and trying to keep the price as low as possible.
My aftermarket LED headlights are amazing and they were $300... not $1300. I also got amazing LED taillights with super bright reverse lights for $110. So $410 vs $1300 🤔
Paint to match sucks, any damage costs way more. The freedom panels from Mopar designed to be painting cost $1000ish and than you have to take to a body shop to paint. If your going off road, what’s the point especially in black I like the contrast.
When people do these option videos I would really like to see people explain that alot of those options are not available individually, for example, the safety groups have to be bought together you cant just get adaptive cruise without getting blind spot etc misleading to put the individual option price without explaining that. but overall well explained
Hey or really anyone here. You own a diesel JLU, and I'm currently completely torn on the purchase of the diesel vs alt options. How big of a concern is that for you, and if it is a concern how are you overcoming this?
💥☣Complications when buying After Market Seats " CAUTION " ☣💥 I have family that bought after market seat and needed my help installing it. Many complications when doing this, after market seats don't have seat sensors for air bags weight sensors, therefore, air bag lights turn on, and I arrived they had cut the wires. Thinking they were only for the power seats, your are manual and for sure after market products don't have the Heat or Cool Seats. Also Drilling is required, Universal really isn't> Sorry to disappoint you should have gone with factory leather

My JL is a 2018 Rubicon. While I didnt order it it was pretty much what I would have ordered. Mine has the headliners which seem to help in the summer. No dual top but I have added the Sunrider to replace the freedom panels which I really enjoy using. It is way more convenient than the hard panels. I do have leather seats and if I had ordered I probably wouldnt.
Also, you forget, non-painted fenders (which I opted for the painted on my JT), are prone to sun fade so you’re constantly chasing the bumpers to stay black and not fade. Only thing that makes me cringe is Ash saying “...as a SEMA girl...” SEMA is Specialty Equipmemt MARKET ASSOCIATION”... how can you be a SEMA girl? youre not an association and more, a business making or selling aftermarket parts, she’s a consumer like the rest of us... she’s a “Jeep girl” plain and simple. @@TechnoBlz well f me... serves me right for listening to the sales guy. I knew something was off when I'd ask him specific questions... Thanks for confirming 👍
I have both on my 2021 JLUR Diesel
The acc is a box mounted on the windshield. Bumpers have zero to do with it...
when you wire a USB cable to one of the auxillary switches for phone charging, can you post a video?
This is an ideal video ✌
Why would you need your phone on the dash? This thing has hands free Bluetooth and navigation. Just wondering.
great question
Making videos!
And what do you think of the diesel engine? Worth the upgrade?
One option i got that in really happy with is the 5 position transfer case not sire how much it was but it was expensive it give 4 auto so living in Canada its wonderful in the winter it upgrade my axels as well
Does the heated seat option, heat the rear seats too? My wife wants a Jeep now
No
No but there’s aftermarket kits for the rear ~ $100
Hi there,
My question is, did you order this customized jeep from the jeep website or jeep dealership?
Also, Ideal Media. If you're looking for any ideas for video's. As an upcoming buyer, i'm super intrigued to see how the apple carplay AND android auto work with the infotainment system. Sadly there is a void of any content about the JL's and their integration.
Subframe? False.
Just bought a 1982 Jeep Wagoneer in garaged condition for $1,500.
My aftermarket LED headlights are amazing and they were $300... not $1300. I also got amazing LED taillights with super bright reverse lights for $110. So $410 vs $1300 🤔
$3.995 for half doors. Going for $5,000 aftermarket. Look better, seal better, better sight lines. Get the
Half door group.
What would you change if doing a mid-size truck instead and why?
Not a truck, or a car, or an SUV. It's a Jeep.
Hey or really anyone here. You own a diesel JLU, and I'm currently completely torn on the purchase of the diesel vs alt options. I'm not here to ask you should I get the vehicle, but more so, how has your experience been when it comes to finding diesel in remote places? How big of a concern is that for you, and if it is a concern how are you overcoming this?
The backup camera is standard since 2018. Why do you need to pay for it?
One bonus of the leather seats is that you get a pull down center console in the rear bench seat.
Engine/Trans. What option did you go with and would you do it again?
They said at least twice it is the ecodiesel which is 3.0 and only comes paired with the hd 8 speed
Lol i am watching this channel since an year and i didn't know youtube girlfriends nickname is Ash
Me either I’m guessing it’s Ashley

Shows tale lights of jk all jls have those tail light bro your killing me man lol
The leather seats are way more comfortable. For your left foot, add a dead pedal and thank me later!
No they aren’t. Max comfort comes from cloth with a super high quality cover like PRP or Bartact
@imajica mojito I’m not mad at all. I research everything and I don’t miss any details
And I make $75k a month. Affording a Jeep isn’t a challenge ive got a diesel gladiator on 40s thanks
@@smarterthanyou2674 how do you make 75k per month? I am deffinetly in the wrong profession!
I would love to know the profession as well so i can easily afford a supped up Rubicon
You can buy after market seats that have all the proper wiring, heating, air bag sensors, and use the same holes. Your friend just went cheap.
@@Tijuanabill Never found them, and the only way is if possible using the same seat mounts and track... It's the only way I ever known of it being able to be done. Most if not all the seat drop lower and there's little room for the electronic. If it doesn't come from the factory I wouldn't do it.. Ford has that Option with Recaro in Leather or Alcon Tara
I have jeep rubicon 2021 same colour same option with your jeep it just use diffrence engine is 3.6L v6 , and with the reason of 3pcs body top colour that why i took the black colour to save money for fence and 3pcs top :)))
Did you already put 35s (yes you can put 35s no mods)
It looks like they have added the MOPAR lift. If that is the case, I would jump straight to 37s and skip the 35s.
I wish you could get adaptive cruise without also getting basic safety group
What about the Motor?
Damn money bags!! porche and a brand new Jeep!?
Must have no kids? Them things cost a fortune
Great information on the options. 👍
My eyes might be deceiving me but those fenders don't look like the factory plastic...theyyyyy kinda look like it's a matching paint? Maybe its because they're wet...
Wait why do you need to plug your phone in the aux? Isn't it Bluetooth connect without the cord
I will not buy a car with a cloth interior! It's the feeling you get hopping into a leather interior just gives a completely different feel. Plus stains wipe off easily
Last night I dreamed that there’s a Jeep just like this in the driveway. Hope it’s true! Now I’ll know how to operate it.
Cap
Got any trail recommendations in Washington :)
I'm curious about the Sky One Touch.
Love the red dash!
Love the Jeep , love watching other ppl spending money even more😂
2 hours missed early gang today lol
You forgot the the third reason not to get leather (as an MX5 owner with leather seats, 90% leather fades in constant sun.
Please make sure she knows the difference.
These people really spend a lot of money. Who can afford a 70K vehicle?? Don't they have a mortgage, kids, college to save for, or a retirement plan?
What's the suspension setup broo
How did you get a loaded Rubicon for 50,000$?????
That diesel is the best option Jeep offers.
Someone introduce this guy to the aftermarket scene. You could have done everything you have for cheaper and would still have more money leftover for more important upgrades like gears, tires, lift, bumpers, etc.
How lifted is this
I don't get it... 70 000$ for all terrain vehicle. You could get like 7 UAZ or MAZ russian proper all terrain vehicles. Even SHERP is possible thing for that amount. You could get like MAZ, UAZ, Pinz Gauer 6x6 and Kia stinger and have more fun on the road and in mountain.
Ps: are those things purchasable in USA?
No but mexico has it even de jimny
