Greetings from Athens Greece. Just gave away my lovely Vfr and am really unhappy without a bike. I'm 48 years old and I always wanted a xjr or a Zrx. I would love to hear from people their opinions regarding these bike. BTW this is a really beautiful machine. 👍❤️
Hi, thanks for your comments. Both bikes are amazing to ride with an upright position not to much demanding . XJRs feel a bit heavier and bulky but more relaxed riding . ZRXs are getting more and more expensive as hard to find good ones .Same for XJRs 1200 , not many good condition originals around on the market. Choose what feels better for you and either way you will be a happy man again:)
That is funny : Pick my one up tomorrow, bought it a week ago - and have already ordered exactly this calipers from XJR 1300 because I have them on my R1 and they are awsome . Also have already a luggage carrier from Fehling and a service packet with filters and spark plugs. When I have it I will check ignition lines and plugs and change to NGK if necessary. Guess I will also get Öhlins shocks and a street legal Akrapovic ... Ordered today a 18 mm socket for the spark plugs, My cars ( - and the R1 ) have 16 and 21 mm ...
Thanks Chris. Agree, 1200 in Black looks really cool. I just got another 1200 black with a belly pan , few bits matt black powder coated, custom header pipes -looks amazing. will put on you tube once ready for the spring .
Hi, most of the 1200s had older version front brake caliper bodies. This one had upgraded xjr1300 bodies but I had original ones too. Just in case if someone wanted to refurbish them and put back
Yeah, my 1300 had them but have seen different ones, even Brembo which might have been standard on the SP1200. Interesting now I have my 1200 running its got that slight ticking sound I hear on this clip on start up and at idle - was assuming it was the cam chain rattling.
well done. Really nice bike. cant r,emeber but a good few years ago. Please look after her. Its best investment you can enjoy for the reasonable money.
it has obviously had a bit of a hard life after you had it, nowhere near the condition in this vid so I'm giving it a good restoration right now. still only 23k miles on it but I think it was used as a winter commuter. still going like a swiss watch though. great bike.
Thats a shame. I really liked this one. Good luck with the restor and please give me a pic or video link so I couls see what you did. Where about you are?
yeah, good idea, I'll give you a current walk around vid later. I'm in north wales. its just salty and rusty, once the new SS exhaust goes on and I've polished/refurbed it, it'll scrub up.

I'm thinking of buying a 95' one, it's either that or a 97' bandit, still undecided, never had either.
have a test ride with both before you buy and you will feel which one is more you. both great bikes if in good order
I own a 1300 03 model, got to say the 1200 in black is just the dogs, much prefer the tank shape.

Nice! I have a 1998. Are those front calipers standard or you fitted them as an upgrade?

in my case, it is the video camera that is too sensitive to older bikes:)
@@DOLARDIS Did you notice any improvement on the breaking with the XJR1300 ones?
