I just don't understand why people expected Jada to not downplay her and Augusts relationship in front of her own husband...? like, hello? why would she do that. And just because August and Jada connected and fell for one another doesn't mean it was a healthy relationship...they sought for 'healing' in each other, trauma bonding. August was a rebound.
From a man's standpoint, this analysis is the only one that I feel had some valuable points that were made. Relationship are not copy and paste, every relationship will come with its challenges and opportunities. I also agree that we do model our relationship after our parents and the environment that we grow up around.

It did come across to me as manipulative because of the dismissive wording she used and Will’s body language felt off. A bit gaslighting, I guess. Maybe the red table talk wasn’t full enough for us to have a clear picture of the situation but just going off what I saw it reminded me of some narcissistic people whom I’ve witnessed gaslighting their partners rather than taking full responsibility for their hurtful behaviors.

Great grown up chat! I think a bigggg part of this though is that Will said his hugest regret is his previously failed marriage. I think he’s holding the relationship together. Also they have kids. But also the emotional turmoil the event took on Will probably replayed all over again through the conversation...

I think the most thought provoking point I took from it, was to question how much of a need is there to change what is currently the most accepted image of a romantic relationship(traditional monogamy) and how far that can be pushed. I question why when we know things like cheating are as commonplace as they are, do we still insist on setting boundaries against it? Should we be/are we setting ourselves up for the inevitable, which is an abuse of our own/our respective partner(s) boundaries? If we fall in love with people that emulate what we have witnessed as love does that mean cheating wasn't as commonplace then? Or that it was just that well hidden?What is subconsciously allowing us to put on our rose tinted glasses to overlook the likelihood of infidelity taking place in our own romantic relationships? I think with hindsight, their arrangement was probably to never to fall in love with the 'other person'- hence Will's embarassment. While I feel Jada should have taken more responsibility (especially from watching August's interview), I do feel it was very much centred around Jada. She brought herself...and Will to the table. So Will should have outed his relationships too, in fairness. I don't think we deserve anything more from them, but I think Jada will have to expand on this a little bit more for her credibility. I don’t think he has a great perspective on the relationship, and he’s probably romanticised what was then quite a toxic relationship. August & Jada needed each other, and Jada grew past that. I definitely think Will and Jada glorify themselves as spiritual transcended people, but I think that is also the objective of the show.
Jada and Will have done other talks about their break and the lead up to that. Jada was being left behind and has no identity. She was the highly likely sole caregiver for a long time while Will was being the star. Imagine how that is like. She was probably so insecure and she felt needed by August.
The bottom line is ,whatever they have said or done that maybe was wrong or good to you , they have made a choice to stay together and work it out .. The reality is ,when the dust settles , this story is not going to talked about and its not going to be a big deal and no one will care.. besides , if this was one of your friends who is not a celebrity ,you probably wont go on youtube talking about but cuz the media blew up the story ,thats why Jada and Will felt they needed to say something , after all she did say , normally ,she wouldn't respond cuz she doesn't owe anyone an explanation.
