  • I have been wanting to check out Reiter Foothills ORV for a long time and I finally got the chance! It was a bit more then expected and the trail builders definitely had the shorter wheelbase of Jeeps in mind. Not to say that there is not something there for everyone, but it definitely got me out of my comfort zone. I hope you all enjoy the video! Let me know what you think of this area if you have been.

    Ahhh Reiter. I destroyed a door on the Lexus there. This video gave me PTSD. Definitely would not recommend the trail 'Lovers Lane' with a larger rig. Hahaha.

      Oh no!! Yeah this was a lot tighter then I thought. I’ll stick with tahuya I think lol

    Great video & great job pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. Great driving too,especially being by yourself. I'm solo a lot as well & it gets tough at times w/o my wife/spotter. Mine is also my daily so I fully understand the personal comfort zone but it's so hard to resist the call of seeing how far I'm willing to go & how capable the truck is. Great job, loved it!!

      Thanks so much! You need to push it when you can but I always try and do so in more controlled environments where there’s a way out and definitely not on a shelf road lol! Glad you enjoyed the video

    Feel you on the wheel base 💯, mines a long bed on 34s no lockers 🫠. Sweet video, trail looked fun and props to you taking it on solo ✊

    I have a similar build to you and, yes love Tahuya, was wondering about Reiter also. Looks a little tight for our rigs and hey got that under armor broken in, way to take one for the team. 🍻

    • @OFFTHEGRIND
      @OFFTHEGRIND  2 роки тому +1

      Haha thanks! The longer wheel base of our rigs is definitely not ideal for this spot. I’ll likely stick with tahuya

    I remember taking my Scout up to Reiter quite some time ago. (Cough, cough, late 90's cough.) The place was a mess then but it was still fun.
    I need to take my Tacoma up there now and check it out.

      The tacoma will make it through, but our wheelbase makes the turns rough. Just beware

    Nice build! Reiter looks pretty fun, been meaning to get over there. Lockers are definitely a life saver for sure

      Thank you! Yeah it is good, but lockers and a second rig would be a good idea

    Haven’t done Reiter but Evans creek and Tahuya were manageable with my FJ and 4Runner.

    • @OFFTHEGRIND
      @OFFTHEGRIND  2 роки тому +1

      Still need to check out Evan’s creek. Reiter wasn’t bad, but the longer wheel base is really not ideal for this place

    Mmm I think you did pretty good for what you had did look like in one of the pictures you scrape your rear differential might want to think about armor on that glad you had fun now you just have to get out to the creek trail and see where that goes have a good night

      Yeah that creek trail is on my mind a lot. Really want to see the other side of it. And yeah, that a gas tank plate

    I've got a 2020 Pro overland build. Stock size upgrade tires. 488 gears.I too like to test my vehicle. Its frightening capable but with that said it's my everyday driver and must be treated as such.

    • @OFFTHEGRIND
      @OFFTHEGRIND  2 роки тому

      Agreed. Mine is my daily as well. I’m very cautious about where I take it and slowly push my limits as a driver. To big of a leap and doing something I’m not comfortable with could help bad

    Did I take the wrong trail entrance? It said twizzler but holy moly me and a friend could not get over those 2 big tree stump you have to go through it's right after the big right turn kinda close to the entrance. I didn't see you go pass it on the video

    • @OFFTHEGRIND

      I think what you’re talking about was the exit for me the way I went. It was really difficult to get over and I didn’t film it cause I was just focused on driving. Reiter was stressful lol

    This trail looks interesting. is this the easiest trail there? Is your Tacoma lifted or stock height?

    • @OFFTHEGRIND
      @OFFTHEGRIND  Рік тому +1

      I don’t know if it’s the easiest trail but it’s the easiest rating. It is lifted 2” but with the extra weight it has settled a little

      @@OFFTHEGRIND well I attempted it. I got hung up on the two stumps. High-centered I had to stack rocks up and back out. I gave it a shot. My sequoias just stock with half inch taller tires. 2002.
