1. Yes, it's a 30" scale bass. the sound is like the Bass VI, but more round and powerful. 2. yes you can play regular chords, you only have to do a properly sound setting to enjoy you're playing.

Allora innanzitutto per avvicinarti ancora di più al suono del Bass Vi nei Cure dovresti scegliere la nuova versione dell'Hellcat, quella con i single coil uscita non 2012, stesso prezzo. In ogni caso anche questa prima versione va bene. Poi ti consiglio un amplificatore per chitarra dal buon pulito, meglio se a transistor o un valvolare alla Fender, in modo da ottenere un suono clean brillante e un buon controllo delle frequenze alte e medie.
Ciao , mi sembri molto informato sul suono Cure . Io so per certo che Robert è stato uno dei primi ad usare le chitarre baritone già fine anni 70 , una volta veniva chiamata chitarra basso . È accordata un'ottava esatta sotto , quindi le note delle sei corde sono come lo standard , solo più cupe , giustamente , perché appunto è un misto suono tra chitarra e basso . Già quando li suonavo ai tempi i brani dei Cure mi venivano giusti di accordi ma il suono non era lo stesso come il loro sound , solo molti anni più tardi capii il perché. .... Piano piano sperimentai anch'io accordature baritone , non per la new wave , ma per il metal , e così finii ad occhiare questa chitarra di Robert a scala 30 , e li capii tutto . Tu come ti trovi con questo manico così lungo e capiente ? C'hai messo tanto ad abituarti ? Saluti , Shino! :)
ciao, i cure sono il mio gruppo preferito... all'inizio la sensazione è proprio di suonare un basso piu corto, piuttosto che una chitarra... dipende dalla partitura, viene davvero comodo suonarlo. chiaramente se lo si vuole usare come una chitarra è un'altra storia...
hi, this is a Short Scale Bass, not a Baritone Guitar. It's a 30" scale instrument, not as the baritone, that is 28"... The set that I use for this particular Six String Bass Guitar is produced by Daddario, is the XL156 set (0.24 - 0.84). There are other companies that make the set for the Bass VI, such as LaBella or Fender... But you can mount this strings only on a Bass VI instrument, not on a Baritone Guitar, that is a Long Scale Guitar. thanks for watching

Eduardo Freire você deve ser Brasileiro, também sou hahaha, sobre o as cordas, acho que as originais, o som cure depende mais do tom e dos efeitos. Quero muito comprar um bass VI, sabe me dizer qual vale mais a pena? Schecter hellcat ou fender bass?
sou sim kkk bem, eu peguei uma guitarra antiga que estava com o braco quebrado e mandei num luthier aqui em SP trasnformar num bass VI. ele pegou a escala de um baixo e tirou a primeira casa. comprei as cordas da Ddario se nao me engando no Ebay, as mais baratas mesmo. ficou legal. tenho uma pedaleira de efeitos e ate fiz um som parecido com o cure.
Infine come effettistica il mio consiglio ricade sui pedali Boss, in quanto sono quelli che usa Robert Smith sia in studio che dal vivo. I fondamentali sono il Super Chorus CH1, il Flanger BF2 e il Digital Delay DD3 (o DD6). Con questi tre suoni dovresti riuscire a coprire gran parte del repertorio che va dai primi anni a Wish/Wild Mood Swings. Per quanto riguarda gli ultimi album la situazione cambia... Per il suono in bloodflowers andrebbe aggiunto a inizio catena un Super Overdrive SD1
Quindi, chitarra baritono è una cosa e 6 Sting Bass un'altra ? mio amico, ho passato anni della mia vita a cercare di fare questo timbro tipico di The Cure e ora vedo il tuo video perché non ho mai potuto. Pensi che la Hellcat è meglio giocare questi suoni "The Cure" sia rispetto al Ultracure VI Schecter? Grazie per il video.
Ciao, sicuramente mi sento di consigliarti l'Ultracure VI. Lo stesso Robert Smith la usa dal vivo... Ma se vuoi riprodurre i suoni degli album in studio, dovresti scegliere il Fender Bass VI... Altro strumento che Smith ha suonato in studio e dal vivo fino al 2004. L'Ultracure VI la puoi trovare facilmente, il Fender Bass VI è più raro, ma puoi provare sulla nuova reissue Pawn Shop, oppure il Made in Japan... ;) Ovviamente anche l'Hellcat VI è un ottimo strumento!!!
Mentre nell'ultimo 4:13 il suono del Bass Vi è totalmente reinventato, innanzitutto perchè usa l'Ultracure VI versione a due Humbucker, amplificatori Vox AC30 con una buona dose di saturazione in ingresso e delay Line6, parecchio riverbero. In ogni caso per imitare l'ultimo suono con l'Hellcat ti consiglio la posizione pick-up Centrale/Ponte, un po di gain nell'amplificatore, riverbero e poco meno della metà e la consueta base di Chorus e Delay. sono entrambi delle repliche del Bass VI ... chiaramente l'Ultracure è più studiata per i toni dei Cure... ma entrambi svolgono lo stesso compito

@@leopoldolicari Sounds like a massive downgrade there. The V2 Hellcat is a much better guitar as well, would recommend trading your Squier for it.
