    I built my home in Mexico with this material for several reasons. Fire resistance, wind resistance, thermal, seismic and termite resistance. It is the most comfortable home I have ever lived in by far.

      I am ready to build my house in Mexico with this material ( Jalisco). By watching all the videos from the company ( in Spanish, which, furthermore helps me learning Spanish 😂), it sounds pretty easy to build it. My main concern, as I am in the countryside and off grid, is to find a team at least to follow the (mine) instructions. I will contact the company soon to ask for referring me to contractors.

    • @MarcusBlackburn
      @MarcusBlackburn Рік тому

      Thanks for your questions. The pneumatic connection is faster and stronger than tying wire. This does not change the final strength of the building, but is useful to keep the wall straight during the construction process. The size of the rebar is dependent on the height of the wall and determined by the engineer.

    what do yo do, if you have an adjacent wall to the new panel? You cannot trow concrete there, isn´t it?

  • @autocrank6457
    @autocrank6457 2 роки тому +2

    Its better to place rebar(starter bar outside the panel, outside the wire mesh, because if you place the rebar beside the styrofore, once there's an earthquake it will make the wall unstable because the concrete didnt grip the starter bar tightly because of the styrofore...

    • @alexirvine3214
      @alexirvine3214 2 роки тому +4

      They torched the foam around the starter bars so it’s fully encapsulated by the concrete and a structural connection. Placing the rebar on the outside of mesh would be easier to install no doubt but then mortar has to be much thicker to cover outside rebars (1/2” rebar plus 1-1/2” concrete = extra 2” of concrete/mortar on entire wall. Versus just a little bit of extra concrete where foam was burned out

  • @alexirvine3214
    @alexirvine3214 2 роки тому

    Awesome video! But Why don’t they just make a deeper U-mesh so you don’t have to burn/cut/snap/pressure wash the foam out around openings in the wall???

    • @alexirvine3214
      @alexirvine3214 2 роки тому +1

      Or use U-mesh with splice mesh on both sides to extend the U. Then you don’t have to burn or cut. More cost in materials tho no doubt

      Debido a que este sistema tiene 2 pulgadas de concreto en cada lado, no necesita encontrar un poste en la pared para colocar gabinetes, televisores, cuadros o cualquier otro objeto. Se pueden colocar en cualquier lugar directamente en el concreto y serán más seguros que si se colocan en la madera.
