    It pushes the bottom of the-ring down and off my light. It has notches that want to go into where the bottom of ring is once the tail cap is screwed down. I have the MCH Duty. Also, fitment is EXTREMELY tight. Plastic molding is bad, too.

      Mine do the same. The bottom ring keeps getting pushed off when I screw the tail cap back. And the notch on the Thyrm fits perfectly at the dip where the bottom ring used to be. I end up just removing the bottom ring and everything fits perfectly. I imaging removing the bottom ring should fix your problem as well.
      Cloud Defense please read my comment. I think the installation video is somewhat wrong. Maybe the current production/molding of the Thyrm (the notch part) is bigger than usual.

    Will the light still be waterproof with this accessory?

      I'm trying to figure that out too. Emailed CD asking twice now, no dice.

    These lights are Junk anyways...
    So i should share my story. I've had a hc edc and duty. Every model flickered. Multiple tail caps later 2 months after the new tail cap things would flicker. Being a flashlight enthusiast I had sure the battery ends were clean and body and tail cap tight. My last straw with your company was when I was on a night shift clearing a house while on duty. I deployed my mch duty and boom a low light flicker. I had to fart around for 5 minutes in a dark house to get my flashlight to work properly. Back up shows up 5 minutes later and their Chinese fenix olights and streamlights worked without fail. I was very pumped to be part of the cloud family. But after months of issues and tail caps failing there's a bigger design flaw going on there. My call while on work was the last straw. After bragging up my brand new cloud to co workers the laughing was embarrassing af. You can tell this to Sean because you guys have to seriously look into your products

    Great tutorial team. Speaking of Thyrm ,the Cellvault 5M inserts do not hold you guy’s proprietary 18650’s snuggly. There’s a lot of back/forth play- about 1/8” either direction. Please address.

      Cloud’s “proprietary” 18650 is just a re-wrapped Samsung 30Q

      Understood. 18650s come in a variety of lengths from different manufactures. Thyrm likely designed the Cellvault to fit everything one might use for it. Doesn't affect function but shorter batteries can rattle around a bit in there.

      @@CloudDefensive Thanks for responding. Indeed. Hopefully with an update, Thyrm will make an insert…for their current inserts to remedy that.

    Are we supposed to reinstall the top o ring or keep it as a spare?

      No need for the top o-ring with the Switchback.

      @@CloudDefensive hello, I followed the steps as by the video. Is the ring supposed to be wobble? Im guessing no, it seems that I can pull off the ring with enough force

    • @CloudDefensive
      @CloudDefensive  7 місяців тому

      @@juliomaldonado4028 No the tailcap with keep everything secure with only a tiny bit of play. It should not wobble. You may need to push the Thyrm down a bit further or double check to make sure the bottom o-ring is in the correct location.
