I was watching you replace only the right calliper I couldn’t help thinking that the rear braking now wouldn’t be balanced, if one is failing the other will be shortly behind it. Whilst I haven’t owned a Barchetta I’ve had several cars with the same type of Lucas callipers, and they all fail the same way and now will only change them in pairs. Also check the hand brake compensator/balancer, often it will have a nut that tightens the cable to get the handbrake to pass the inspection, however the issue isn’t with the cable but the calliper and now that has been changed the cable it too tight. I would have thought that the first place to check with the ABS issue is the wheels sensors, check for cable and plug damage and that if the sensor is magnetic it hasn’t been turned into an iron filings hedgehog.
Thanks for your comments. It failed the inspection again with exactly the same weak braking on the rear right even with the new caliper. The handbrake was ok. Not sure what to try next. I'll check the sensors and I'm waiting for diagnostic cables to arrive as well.
Ciao..the ABS lightis permanentlyon because there is a problem in the system. .to find out what's wrong with the ABS system you'll have to have it connected to a diagnostic device. What's wrong with the back right brake??is it braking less than the right one?
Thanks. I've ordered diagnostic cables and waiting for them to arrive. Yes the back right is braking less than the back left. Have changed everything. Maybe it's a sensor?
@@pauliecabs the electronics have nothing to do with the problem that the back wheels brake differently. It's an hydraulic problem causing that and it could be due to the ABS group, but before doing anything wait for the diagnostic cable to come in.if you need any technical documents on the ABS I've got them.

The ABS light also turns on when the rear brake lights have no/other resistance.
Thanks. I'll check this as well.
Im very curious if and how you have found the issue?
Yes, eventually! Go to the Bosch ABS system video it's all in there and I finally discover the problem. It was the brake power regulator.

@@edo.r1324 Ok thanks. Maybe it is the ABS unit then. I have the Barchetta manual and the ABS pages. Is that what you have?
@@pauliecabs yes
