Im sure its already been said, but I want to reiterate... THIS IS THE BEST EXPLANATION OF ADSR I HAVE SEEN TO DATE! Ive watched countless vids on adsr, including paid versions and I really like and appreciate the way you showed the ACTUAL sound wave in reference to the ADSR. Ive struggled to understand it completely thus far, but now it makes perfect sense to me. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

your visual and detailed explanation of the adsr was great! also props for doing a deep dive on an instrument given far too little attention

I really wish Analog had the same feature as Wavetable where you can fullscreen it and see all of the displays at once, instead of tabbing between them. It makes wavetable so much easier to understand.

I have had multiple instances where Analog served me better for plucks, pads, or baselines than f.e. NI synths or even Diva. Sound design is just much easier and faster imo and you don't sacrifice (much) on sound quality (but you spare a ton of cpu). @Ableton Tips instructor, fantastic job on the synthesis explanation and the Analog walkthrough, which I had seen this 2y ago, haha..

Where is Analog? It's not listed in my version of Ableton.

You have to have full suite to be able to access the analog feature. Same applies with operator, wavetable etc

Very thorough. But we didn’t get to hear the instrument until 5 min in. Maybe start with a jam.

Do you have to have a specific version of ableton to use this?

    • @joeydomhof6480

You can buy it standalone or otherwise you'd have to buy Suite

Solid tutorial thank you for this! Ableton stock plugins are incredibly powerful they just lack visual appeal. I'm reinvigorated to design some sounds, especially bass.
I would like to respectfully say, you used the word "basically" way too many times in this video. It's a habit I see far too often. Please correct that.

The old Chorus is sus... using a cracked copy? Decent explaination though, bass is nice with that device.

Everything in this video needs work. From the lighting, background, the sounds and your face. 🤔🤔🤔
